LESSONS FROM MOSES

'And Moses lifted up his hand, and with this rod he smote the rock twice: and the water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their beasts also.' - Numbers 20 vs 11

Hello Beloved, we are taking lessons from the life of the Prophet Moses. Please re-tract your steps and life where necessary after reading this piece.

From this story, God asked Moses to speak to the rock to bring forth water from it;

'Take the rod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and speak ye unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock: so thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink.' - Numbers 20 vs 8 {KJV}

You see that? But what did Moses do? Moses instead of speaking to the Rock as God commanded him, struck the Rock. But the Big question here is, did water come out from the Rock after striking it? Yes, water did come out from the Rock.

Child of God, that you are producing results does not mean God approves of it, that you got the result of a thing does not necessarily mean it was done God's way.

Are you a minister of the Gospel? The Holy Spirit wants you to know this, that you work miracles and do mighty works is not a proof that your ministry is accepted in the sight of the Lord.

'Result is not a proof of support.' - Apostle Johnson Suleman PhD

Watch what Jesus said;

Matthew 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?     7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
{KING JAMES VERSION}

You see it? So result is not a full proof of God's support. Result that is accepted by God is the result that was wrought in accordance to HIS will. Moses got the result, but before God it was not accepted.

'And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them.' - Numbers 20 vs 12 {KJV}

The people saw what Moses did as a miracle, but God saw it as  iniquity, and hence, judged him! Uhmmm. - Selah

How many Preachers receive accolades from men and praises from the people, and honor from kings because of the manifestation of Gifts in their lives, but before the Almighty, they are unknown and unaccepted.

God Bless You.
