FREEDOM FROM LUSTS IN THE MIND

'And if your right hand leads you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose a part of your body than to have all of it go into hell.' - Matthew 5 vs 30 {GW}

Greetings to you dearly beloved of God in Christ Jesus. If you have been battling with lust in your mind, and you don't know how to permanently overcome having lusts in your mind, the Lord has sent His word to you right now to free you completely and forever. This is the word of the Lord. Read with an open heart. Amen.

Let's take a look at our opening Bible passage again;

'And if your right hand leads you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose a part of your body than to have all of it go into hell.' - Matthew 5 vs 30 {GW}

  • if your right hand leads you to sin, cut it off and throw it away

The Good News Bible translation uses the phrase "causes you to". Let's see it;

'If your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away! It is much better for you to lose one of your limbs than to have your whole body go off to hell.' - Matthew 5 vs 30 {GNB}

  • If your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away

Waow! The Spirit of God showed me what the Lord taught by those words: the Lord simply addressed 'the source'. What that means is, every sin that a man commits, has a source that inspires it in him. - Think about that. So the Lord clearly gave us the way out of the dominance and control of sin over our lives and minds; cut off the source! and you will be free from that sin completely.

The right hand that causes a man to sin according to the words of the Lord Jesus in the verse above, simply means, the source that inspires that sin in a man. Cutting off the right hand that causes you to sin means, cutting off the source or channel that inspires that sin in you. Let me give you a practical example or scenario of this explanation: Many persons struggle with sexual thoughts in their minds, sexual actions in their minds, and many have carried that struggle with them for a long time; they are fed up, they know it's not right to be thinking those trash, but they can't just help themselves stop having those thoughts, they can't help themselves stop those sexual imaginations. But you know what, that's a simple thing to achieve, according to the teaching of the Lord Jesus which we read in our opening Bible verse. So how does such a Believer overcome that mental situation? It's simple! Observe the source or sources of the sexual inflammation in your mind! What are those things that stirs up the imaginations? Spot the source of the sexual inflammations in your mind. When you find it out, cut if off from your life! Meaning, do away with it completely. Did you notice that the Lord did not just say "cut it off", but He also added "and throw it away!" That means, don't spare that source of immoral inspiration in your life! Don't take it mildly, rather, eternally discard it from your life.

A Friend or Company
If you observe that when you are in the company of a certain friend or friends, the things they discuss and their mannerisms kind of cause you to also say the wrong things, do the wrong things, and stir up ungodly imaginations in your mind, What did the Lord say? He said cut off that hand that causes you to sin, and throw it away! So therefore, cut off that friend or friends, forever! Throw them away! It's a stern instruction given by the Lord. Throw them away! Yes.

Movies or TV Programme
If you observe that after watching movies or a TV programme, you find yourself imagining ungodly things, you find yourself having erotic thoughts, What did the Lord say? He said cut off that hand that causes you to sin, and throw it away! So therefore, cut off watching movies or that TV programme, forever! I tell you, you will observe the change in your mind or life the moment you cut off that source that inspires ungodliness in you. Try this, practice it! You will come back rejoicing in your liberty! Amen.

Internet Contents
The internet is one place where gross ungodly is cheaply (if not freely) posted for anyone to feed his eyes with. So therefore, if you observe that your eyes are seeing too much (sexually erotic contents) on the internet, and you are having ungodly imaginations of sexually erotic pictures or motions, What did the Lord say? He said cut off that hand that causes you to sin, and throw it away! So therefore, cut off your content viewing presence on the internet, forever! Stop viewing internet contents! It's a discipline, and it's possible, it's achievable. I'm not saying that you should stop using the internet. Rather, stop scrolling through its contents. If you have something to do on the internet, go and do it; when you're through, exit the page or application. It's that simple. No scrolling through contents to view or to watch, no! So your usage of the internet becomes on a strict standard: you go there to do what you want to do, and when you're done, you log out from the application. You will notice the change in your imaginations.

See, if we live our lives according to the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ, we will be fine, we will not have issues. I tell you. Decide to live by the Word! The Word is the true liberty and deliverance your life needs. The Word!

'So if your right eye causes you to sin, take it out and throw it away! It is much better for you to lose a part of your body than to have your whole body thrown into hell.
If your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away! It is much better for you to lose one of your limbs than to have your whole body go off to hell.' - Matthew 5 vs 29 - 30 {GNB}

  • if your right eye causes you to sin, take it out and throw it away
  • If your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away

The message is simple and clear: cut off completely from your life any source that inspires ungodly imaginations and lifestyle in you.

The Lord give you peace. Amen.

GODLY SORROW - [ITS BEAUTY AND ADVANTAGE IN THE BELIEVER]

'For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.' - 2 Corinthians 7 vs 10

Greetings to you dearly beloved of God in Christ Jesus. Grace be to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

Let's examine our opening Bible passage;

'For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.' - 2 Corinthians 7 vs 10 {KJV}

Let's take a look at this passage from other Bible translations for a clearer view;

'For the sadness that is used by God brings a change of heart that leads to salvation—and there is no regret in that! But sadness that is merely human causes death.' - {GNB}

Here, godly sorrow is described as 'sadness that is used by God to bring a change of heart'.

'God designed us to feel remorse over sin in order to produce repentance that leads to victory. This leaves us with no regrets. But the sorrow of the world works death.' - {TPT}

Here it says that 'God designed us to feel remorse over sin in order to produce repentance that leads to victory [over the sin]'.

'The kind of sorrow God wants makes people decide to change their lives. This leads them to salvation, and we cannot be sorry for that. But the kind of sorrow the world has will bring death.' - {ERV}

Here it says that 'the kind of sorrow God wants makes people decide to change their lives [to live a life that aligns with the salvation he/she has received in Christ]'.

'For sadness as intended by God produces a repentance that leads to salvation, leaving no regret, but worldly sadness brings about death.' - {NET}

Here it says that 'sadness as intended by God produces repentance [change of life/behaviour].

'Godly sorrow—which is due to disgust with the selfish state of the heart, and which brings repentance resulting in healing and wellness—leaves no regrets. But worldly sorrow is the sorrow for not getting one’s own way; it leaves one terminally ill, culminating in death.' - {TRNT}

Here we are informed that godly sorrow results in healing and wellness in the Believer.

Waow! Having examined these different Bible translations of our opening Bible passage, we can understand that godly sorrow which springs up in the soul of the Believer when he has done something ungodly is for the purpose of restoring that Believer in the way of the Lord. When godly sorrow strikes, the Believer is put in a reflection mode; that's not the moment to be consumed by sadness, but rather, use that sadness (godly sorrow) to your advantage. As your mind go over what you have done, be intentional in reflecting on what the WORD says about you in the aspect where you have erred -  begin to meditate on the WORD and ponder on your realities in Christ in the aspect where you have erred. That sadness which is godly sorrow is not meant to consume you, it's not meant to kill you, it's not meant to afflict you with pain even though it is painful, but rather it is a godly tool used by the Holy Spirit to bring the Believer into a place of doctrinal reflection, where the Believer begin to clearly see and understand his divine nature in Christ; and by that understanding, his soul has clearly discerned how he ought to walk next time. I tell you, that Believer will leave that place a transformed man, and he will shine the light of Christ more brightly than he first shinned it. - Think on these words

Godly sorrow is for the advantage, transformation in character, and total restoration of the man in Christ. Hallelujah! Glory to God.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.

REMEMBER HOW HE DELIVERED YOU THE OTHER DAY

'Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits...' - Psalm 103 vs 2

Dearly beloved, how come you are troubled and distressed by a situation that God has delivered you from before? - Think about it

Our opening scripture admonishes us to not forget God's benefits - God's benefits as used here simply means the things God has done for us.

Are you in a situation in life right now that causes you distress and pain? You ought not to be discouraged; rather you should remember how God delivered you from that same situation in the past. - Think about it. So in a time of distress, a Believer should call to remembrance how God delivered him from such situation the other day! When you remember that God has delivered you from that situation before, that remembrance strengthens you to stay in faith in the present, trusting God to do the same for you again! - Think about it

These are what you should call to remembrance when you are faced with a painful situation in life:

  1. How you were in pains over the same situation some time back; how you suffered
  2. How the Holy Spirit comforted your heart with the word of God
  3. How you endured with the pain in your heart
  4. How you trusted God to deliver you from that situation
  5. How you wanted to be free from that situation - how you so wanted to be free from it
  6. How God sent that exact Word to your heart that freed you
  7. How the miracle happened
  8. How it all looked like a dream that you were free from that situation

Beloved, call these things to remembrance! As you do so, you will see faith, hope and strength spring forth in your heart, and you will be fully assured that you will be free from your present distress. Calling to remembrance how God did it before after the manner that I have listed to you above drastically diminishes the size of your present challenge, such that in your present pain, you have joy! Hallelujah! - Think on this

Dearly beloved of God, don't be distressed over a situation that God has delivered you from before; always remember how He delivered you the other day! Refuse to be distressed by a situation that God has delivered you from in time past, forget not His benefits!

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.

BUT PASTOR, WHY ME?

'O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.' - Psalm 34 vs 8

The Spirit of God began to minister to my heart about the lamentations of many of God's people, how they say "oo why did this happen to me" "but why me" and lamentations of such. I began to cogitate on these thoughts as follows;

If you weren't depressed, how would you have known that God delivers? If you weren't heavy in heart, how would you have testified that the Lord heals? If you were not traumatised, how would you have seen that He is the God of all comforts? If you never got into trouble, how can you attest that God saves?

Are you now to desire problems in your life? No! But these thoughts are to let you see how that truly, all things work together for good to all who are in Christ Jesus;

'And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.' - Romans 8 vs 28 {KJV}
  • all things
When God finally delivers you from the pain or trouble, then your heart truly see His goodness, and God's love becomes a personal experience to you and not just a mere saying. - Think on these words

David said, Taste and see that the Lord is good. How would you have tasted and testified that the Lord is good if you never encountered any hitch? Anyone can say the Lord is good, but it's different when that goodness is experienced; that assurance! That certainty and personal knowledge that God is truly good! - Think about it

The Spirit of God has stirred me to send this word to you, to minister hope and strength to your heart, as you patiently look to the Lord to bring you out of your present distress.

God is with you.

THINGS GOD CAN NEVER SAY TO YOU

  • You are very irresponsible
  • You are wicked
  • You are a sinner
  • You are bad
  • You are very weak
  • You are very lazy
  • You are not good enough
  • You are not prayerful
  • You are not trying
  • You are foolish
  • You are finished
And every other "You are" which points you to an inability or incapability.

'But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption...' - 1 Corinthians 1 vs 30 {KJV}
  • Christ is made unto us wisdom
So the grace of God in Christ has called us wise.
  • Christ is made unto us righteousness
So the grace of God in Christ has called us righteous.
  • Christ is made unto us sanctification
So the grace of God in Christ has called us sanctified

'For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.' - Hebrews 10 vs 14 {KJV}
  • He perfected us by His offering for our sins
So the grace of God in Christ has called us perfect

The voice of God is the voice of His written word. Having seen the above Bible passages, we understand that God will never speak in the opposite direction of the works of His grace in Christ Jesus. God's voice to us will never contradict whatever we have become by Grace. - Selah

So dearly beloved, arm your mind with this understanding and begin to know from today when the devil speaks into your mind and hearing to condemn you and make you feel low about yourself; on hearing such voice, rebuke the devil with the Word of Grace which you have knowledge of, just the way Jesus did in His temptations in the wilderness;

'And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread.
And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.'- Luke 4 vs 3 - 4 {KING JAMES VERSION}
  • Jesus answered him saying, It is written
That's how to respond to contrary voices that speaks into your mind what God's grace has not said about you.

'And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. [6] And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it. [7] If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. [8] And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.' - Luke 4 vs 5 - 8 {KING JAMES VERSION}

Observe the verse 8, for it is written

Beloved, that is how to respond to contrary voices, you've got to educate them on what the Gospel has declared concerning you; that way, you put them to a permanent silence in your life. - Selah. Don't resist contrary voices with counter attack thoughts, thoughts will not work; mere thinking cannot withstand opposing voices which play in your mind. You've got to do it like Jesus, speak out the WORD!

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.

HEALING FROM YOUR SHAME

Shame is an unworthy feeling on the inside of a man, which produces for that man the inability for him to stand before a person or a people, because of a ignoble act done.

Shame has kept many persons from living to their full potentials; by reason of an ignoble act they did, they lack the boldness to stand in certain places, or to speak in certain places, because of that unworthy feeling working in their inside, causing them to be kept inside the shell of unnotice, where they hide and are unknown, instead of them to be seen and active fostering their course. - Selah

Shame has affected my Believers is such immense measure, whereby they are sapped of all boldness and courage to stand before God, neither can they engage in the activities of the Kingdom - not willingly, but by reason of that unworthiness working inside of them, they are just unable to get close to God and His house (the Church assembly). Shame is an issue that needs to be dealt with in Christians, to free them from the yoke and bondage of passivity and inactivity.

So let's look into the word of God's grace; I encourage you to be patient as you read. Okay let's go.

THE SOURCE OF SHAME

Shame comes as a result of an ignoble/dishonourable act done;

'And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: [10] Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. [11] The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. [12] I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. [13] And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. [14] I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.' - Luke 18 vs 9 - 14 {KING JAMES VERSION}

The publican (tax collector) in this story would not lift up his eyes to heaven: that is a work of shame! a feeling of unworthiness! And the man's words tells us where that shame came from, he said "God be merciful to me a sinner". He said of himself that he was a sinner. Sin! - the source of his shame.

'And one of the Pharisees desired him that he would eat with him. And he went into the Pharisee's house, and sat down to meat.
37
And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment,
38
And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.
39
Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.' - Luke 7 vs 36 - 39 {KING JAMES VERSION}

If you carefully read these Bible verses, you noticed what Simon said in his heart,

"If he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner."

From that statement, you can understand that that woman had suffered from stigmatization in the sight of the people, the shame was so intense that when she heard that Jesus was in that house, she decided to run to Him and camp around him just to cry before Him, to pour out her unworthiness before Him, because Jesus is so comforting to be around, He was the only one whose presence didn't remind her of her sins, neither was there any feeling of unworthiness in her when in His presence. Oooo precious Saviour! So by careful analysis of this story, we see that shame was the source of this woman's tears which she poured out on Jesus' feet. - Selah

HOW TO POSITION YOURSELF FOR INNER HEALING

'Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.' - Isaiah 26 vs 3

How do you stay your mind on Christ? By staying your mind on the revelation of the Gospel.

'Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.' - Romans 8 vs 33 {KJV}

'And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.' - Acts 13 vs 39 {KJV}

  • God has justified us from all sin

To justify means to declare someone not guilty of an offence. For us in Christ, God holds no wrong against us. That means that we have an eternal forgiveness from the Father;

'In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace...' - Ephesians 1 vs 7 {KJV}

  • In Christ we have the forgiveness of sins

So you see beloved, if you fail along the way in your Christian journey, if you sin; as the pressures and burden of that sin hits your heart, keep your mind steady on the Truth of the Gospel - you have received justification from all sins. Let this Truth saturate your heart, don't consider the burden your sin hits your heart with; but rather, consider the Truth, consider the Gospel: God has justified you in Christ! You have the forgiveness of sins in Christ. He didn't say God will forgive you in Christ, but rather you have! Meaning for us in Christ, forgiveness of sins is an inheritance we came into. Hallelujah! Justification is a gift we received from God. Your heart tells you you have sinned, the Gospel says you are not guilty! Keep your mind stayed on the truth of the Gospel till the reality of the Gospel becomes the reality of your heart. Peace will come! The burden will be destroyed! And that's because you trusted the Truth not regarding the voice of your sin in your heart. - Selah

Let's see our opening Bible verse again;

'Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.' - Isaiah 26 vs 3 {KJV}

  • Thou will keep him in perfect peace

He went ahead and gave the condition for this to be, He says,

  • Whose mind is stayed on thee (God)

The usage of the word "stayed" connotes, to place something in a particular place, spot, or location without an intention to take it away from there.

That means, we are to make the Word of God the permanent residence of our mind. That means, irrespective of the pain, irrespective of the accusations, irrespective of the condemnation or burden we feel in our hearts, our minds should not be found in another location other than the Word of God. You see... How do you stay your mind on God? by staying your mind on what God said (the word of God, the Gospel of Christ). So we are admonished that, as we stay our mind on the revelation of the Gospel, the reality of the Gospel which is Peace will take effect in our lives. Our hearts will be free from burdens and our minds will be set at rest. Glory to God forever. Amen.

Be encouraged beloved. God is with you.

As you hold on to your identity in Christ, not considering the identity your sin has given to you before men, but you hold on to the Word of life, believing, trusting and acknowledging as truth all that the Gospel has said you are, in the process of time as you're holding on, that reality of the Gospel which you trust permeates your conscience, enters your mentality, and it begins to become to you a physical reality. Soon enough, you will have boldness to stand before God and before the men who knew of your atrocities without any feeling of shame. Hallelujah!

'And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;
13
Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
14
And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.' - 1 Timothy 1 vs 12 - 14 {KING JAMES VERSION}

Apostle Paul had obtained Grace, though he acknowledged the havoc that he did, nevertheless that acknowledgment wasn't coming from a place of shame, but from a place of testimony of God's power to save and transform a man. He testified of God's grace and kindness towards him! When a man is healed of his shame, the memories of his shameful acts don't come from a place of unworthiness, but from a place of thanksgiving to God. Hallelujah!

Dearly beloved, this is the effect of trusting the Gospel, it will bring about transformation in your mind. The truths of the Gospel when believed and held on to, influences our mentality, therefore reediting our conscience, adjusting our consciences to conform to the details of the Gospel, removing the former details which were after the acknowledgements of the senses based on the shameful things we actually did. - Think slowly on these words. So that Believer that was feeling guilty in his conscience now feels righteous! Waow! What's that? That's the working of Grace in a man when the truths of the Gospel are believed and held on to and acknowledged, rather than seeing yourself through the identity that your wrong action has giving to you. - Selah

Remember, we walk by faith and not by sight;

'For we walk by faith [we regulate our lives and conduct ourselves by our conviction or belief respecting man’s relationship to God and divine things, with trust and holy fervor; thus we walk] not by sight or appearance.' - {AMP}

  • We regulate our lives by our conviction
  • We conduct ourselves by our belief
  • By trust we walk, not by sight or appearance

By trust (in the realities of the Gospel) we walk, not by sight or appearance. We don't call ourselves what our sins has called us, no! We call ourselves what the Gospel has called us, and we hold on continually to the description of the Gospel of us, as it literally gives to us a conscience that is based on truth (the Gospel) and not physical facts, void of guilt and shame and all such things. - Selah. Hallelujah!

God has blessed you with His word, and you are lifted. Amen.

FRUSTRATION: EXPECTING WHAT GOD DIDN'T PROMISE

'For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.' - Jeremiah 29 vs 11

Many have fallen from the Faith in present times, and many are on the edge of falling; as a result of failed expectations led to frustrations and sadness. So today, there are those who are angry at the Church, many have identified with atheism, because of these two categorical reasons;

  1. They felt they've been deceived. And this is because of the second reason,
  2. They grumble that what they've been taught in Church over the years is not working. So they say things like, "this thing is not working".

But friend, when we investigate the thing they said is not working, you will find out that what they say doesn't work was never promised by God in the first place; preachers who will not give themselves to the learning and study of the word of God have interpreted Bible texts out of their original contexts, and have preached to the people promises and blessings that God actually didn't promise. So because the message was false, it therefore means that any faith (irrespective of its intensity) anchored on such teachings/messages will not produce the result(s) it talked about; so that means that the people will definitely be disappointed in the end because their faith will fail, because they have anchored it on a false message. - Think on these things

Our opening Bible passage is one of the many Biblical texts that so many preachers have falsely interpreted to the congregation of God's people. But let us take this one Bible passage for this teaching. Let's analyze the context of that Bible text, and see who that statement/promise was made to;

'For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.' - Jeremiah 29 vs 11 {KJV}

Now hear this, to properly interpret a Bible text, you must situate that text in the time when it was spoken, the people it was spoken to, and the condition for which purpose it was spoken. This way, you can accurately interpret and  appropriate that Bible text. Now the above Bible passage was Jeremiah writing to the Israelites who were taken as captives into Babylon, he was writing to them the mind of God concerning them, so that they could know what to expect and how to place their expectations in that land of bondage. - Selah. Follow me. Let me show you that chapter 29 from the very first verse up to the 14th verse, so that you can have a broad view of what happened. Sit tight and patiently read;

'Now these are the words of the letter that Jeremiah the prophet sent from Jerusalem unto the residue of the elders which were carried away captives, and to the priests, and to the prophets, and to all the people whom Nebuchadnezzar had carried away captive from Jerusalem to Babylon;
2
(After that Jeconiah the king, and the queen, and the eunuchs, the princes of Judah and Jerusalem, and the carpenters, and the smiths, were departed from Jerusalem;)
3
By the hand of Elasah the son of Shaphan, and Gemariah the son of Hilkiah, (whom Zedekiah king of Judah sent unto Babylon to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon) saying,
4
Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, unto all that are carried away captives, whom I have caused to be carried away from Jerusalem unto Babylon;
5
Build ye houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them;
6
Take ye wives, and beget sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons, and give your daughters to husbands, that they may bear sons and daughters; that ye may be increased there, and not diminished.
7
And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the Lord for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace.
8
For thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Let not your prophets and your diviners, that be in the midst of you, deceive you, neither hearken to your dreams which ye cause to be dreamed.
9
For they prophesy falsely unto you in my name: I have not sent them, saith the Lord.
10
For thus saith the Lord, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.
11
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
12
Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
13
And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.
14
And I will be found of you, saith the Lord: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the Lord; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.' - {KING JAMES VERSION}

Now, if you read the passages carefully, you now understand what transpired there. Some Israelites were taken as captives into Babylon, and Jeremiah wrote to them the word of the Lord, so that they can know what God is saying about their situation. Part of what God said concerning the Israelites taken captives is what we read in our opening Bible passage. Let's take a look at it again;

'For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.' - Jeremiah 29 vs 11 {KJV}

You see, this was Jeremiah writing to them God's word concerning them in their captivity. Simple! This was not a promise made to everybody, it was a promise made to those Israelites in captivity; and you know what, God has fulfilled that promise, because He brought them out of their captivity as He said He would. You see... that was not a promise to the Christian, it is not a promise to us. But what do we hear in many of our churches today, Pastors use this Bible texts (and others which they wrongly interpret) to assure Believers that God is going to give them breakthroughs and all that. When these brethren after a long wait don't see positive changes in their situations, they begin to feel that Christianity doesn't work, satan takes advantage of that position of theirs and pull them out of the sheepfold. Pathetic! - Think on what I'm saying to you as you read

Dearly beloved, God wishes us well, God wants us to have a beautiful life and a beautiful future. But don't use Jeremiah 29 vs 11 to buttress that idea, because that's not what it speaks of. - Selah. The moment your faith is anchored on a false understanding (message, teaching), your expectation from that revelation will not materialize because you are believing for what that Bible text never said. - Think on this

THERE ARE NO PROMISES OF GOD FOR ANY BELIEVER TO CLAIM

'For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.' - 2 Corinthians 1 vs 20 {KJV}

  • For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen

Let me rephrase this Bible verse for you, so that you will understand what the Apostle said here;

'All the promises of God are yes and amen in Christ.'

The two words "Yes & Amen" in this context means "fulfillment, fulfilled". So what the Apostle Paul said is, All the promises of God are fulfilled in Christ. Uhmmm!

It's important that you know that every promise God made through the mouth of Prophets and men of God in the Old Testament days were prophecies of the Messiah, concerning His coming, what He would do, what He would suffer, His death, burial, and His resurrection from the dead; and Christ has fulfilled all of it;

'And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.' - Luke 24 vs 27 {KJV}

  • in all the scriptures the things concerning himself

'And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.' - Luke 24 vs 44 {KJV}

  • all things (all the promises of God / prophecies) must be fulfilled
  • which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me

You see... All the promises of God spoken through the mouths of the Prophets in the Old Testament were concerning Christ, and He has fulfilled every one of them. - Think about it

Now, there's a fatal error practiced by many Christians, and that's one major source of the frustration of many Christians today; it is the error of claiming just any good word in the Bible as a personal word. Listen, when you read the Bible, you must be very observant and watchful of the audience to which words were spoken, and the reason for which they were spoken. For example;

'But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.' - Philippians 4 vs 19 {KJV}

It's just amazing how a Christian will consider this verse of the Bible as a promise of God to him! It's just waoww! And when the situations and conditions of their lives don't look like "the promise" which they have claimed, they begin to murmur and complain, and many times eventually become frustrated, and many fall out of the Faith. Why? Wrong understanding! - Think about it

The above Bible verse was the Apostle Paul praying for the brethren at Philippi, who gave resources (money/provision) to him. You must pay attention to context when you read the Bible, because the life of every Bible word or statement is in the context at which it was used. - Selah. You can read the whole chapter 4 of that book to understand the communication there; but let's see the immediate pretext, so that we can ascertain the audience to whom Apostle Paul made that prayer;

'But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God.' - verse 18

  • having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you

You see...they gave to him, and in return, he blessed them. Period! You cannot claim that prayer and make it personal if you were not among those who gave that gift to him. - Think on this slowly

So you see dearly beloved, there are no pending promises of God for any Believer to claim and make personal, no! All the promises of God were about the Messiah, and He has fulfilled every one of them. So therefore, be careful how you lay claim to Bible promises that were not intended to be spoken for material provisions for anyone; because, you will be the victim at the end of the day. Any faith or expectation anchored on a false doctrine/knowledge/understanding cannot produce the desired result; hence, will definitely end in disappointment and unfruitfulness.

The only promise of God that can be made personal is the promise of Salvation to the man that believes; and this promise is made only to the sinner;

'He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved...' - Mark 16 vs 16 {KJV}

'For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.' - John 3 vs 16 {KJV}

This is the only promise that yet exists in the entire Bible - the promise of Salvation to them that believe; every other promises of God have been fulfilled in Christ. Glory to God.

Therefore beloved, are you one of such frustrated brethren I spoke of? Have your expectations from what you believed over the years failed, and you're about to give up on Christianity? My friend, calm down! Forgive all those who have wrongly taught you the scriptures, tell yourself that you will learn the truth and know what the Bible actually teaches. Now, go for Truth! Prayerfully ask God to guide and lead you to a sound teacher of the Bible. When you find him, stay with him. God is with you; be restored of your wasted years. Amen.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.

THE BEAUTY OF GRACE

'Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.' -
Romans 8 vs 33

A Christian might find it easy to trust the word of Grace over little situations, mild offences, and faint errors; but his heart may not be firm enough to trust that same Word when the offence is grave; hence, though he has the knowledge of justification in Christ, yet he suffers a heavy heart. - Selah

Beloved, you can trust the Grace of God in big offences as much as you can trust It in small offences - the same effect of forgiveness, the same effect of mercy, the same effect of Peace, in the Believer.

So if a Believer commits a grave offence, he can trust the word of Grace as much as he trusts It in little offence. The word of God's grace is not changing; justification in Christ is not conditioned for small offences only - we have been justified from all sins;

'And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.' - Acts 13 vs 39 {KJV}

  • justified from all things

Dearly beloved, you can trust the grace of God irrespective of the accusations and disputings of words going on in your heart right now; you can believe the word of Grace spoken about our justification in Christ, and believe that God did not impute your sin on you, irrespective of how grave it is;

'Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.' - Romans 4 vs 8 {KJV}

The believer in Christ is that blessed man, God will never impute our sins on us (irrespective of the graveness), because He already informed us in His word that He is the one that has justified us from all sin;

'Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect [when it is] God Who justifies [that is, Who puts us in right relation to Himself? Who shall come forward and accuse or impeach those whom God has chosen? Will God, Who acquits us?]
Who is there to condemn [us]? Will Christ Jesus (the Messiah), Who died, or rather Who was raised from the dead, Who is at the right hand of God actually pleading as He intercedes for us?' - Romans 8 vs 33 - 34 {AMPLIFIED BIBLE TRANSLATION}

Take note of what I'm about to highlight to you from the above Bible passages;

  • Who is there to condemn us?
  • Is it Christ who died for us?
  • Is it Christ who is actually pleading in intercession for us?

It's clear now! Christ who died for us, who is pleading in intercession for us to the FATHER cannot be the one to condemn us. Glory to God! That's the message the Apostle Paul communicated in the above Bible passages. You see... so you can trust the grace of God in any situation because you have come to understand that Christ will never condemn you neither will He accuse you of a wrong done. Don't forget Romans 4 vs 8;

'Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.'

Okay.

'And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.' - Acts 13 vs 39 {KJV}

  • justified from all things

So you see dearly beloved, the beauty of Grace is that you can trust the word of Grace in big offences as much as you can trust It in small offences; it's the same effect of forgiveness, the same effect of mercy, and the same effect of peace, in the Believer.

Receive hope and strength dearly beloved for your weary heart, God loves you and He wants you at rest. Amen.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.

'Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.' - Romans 8 vs 33 {KJV}

'And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.' - Acts 13 vs 39 {KJV}

  • God has justified us from all sin

To justify means to declare someone not guilty of an offence. For us in Christ, God holds no wrong against us. That means that we have an eternal forgiveness from the Father;

'In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace...' - Ephesians 1 vs 7 {KJV}

- Selah

Let's see our opening Bible verse again;

'Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.' - Isaiah 26 vs 3 {KJV}

Amen.

Therefore dearly beloved of God, maybe you are downcast so much that your sin is come to your face, and the reality of the wrong you have done is so obvious in your conscience that you can't breathe - it can be that bad! What you do in such terrible state; as you have learnt above, take your eyes away from the pain, take your eyes away from the burden you feel, take your eyes away from your sin, place your eyes on Christ; set your mind on the reality of what Christ has done for you, behold His grace! Remember, as we stay our mind on the revelation of the Gospel, the reality of the Gospel which is Peace will take effect in our lives. Our hearts will be free from burdens and our minds will be set at rest. Glory to God. Amen.

Be encouraged beloved. God is with you.

MIND DRIFTS WHEN PRAYING ADDRESSED - PT.2

'For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.' - 1 Corinthians 14 vs 1

Greetings dearly beloved of God in Christ. If you have not read the first part of this teaching, you will not know where this teaching is coming from, and hence, you will not have a wholistic understanding of the teaching generally. So I advice that you proceed immediately to the first part of this teaching and read, and understand; then come back here and continue learning on this subject. Click here to read the first part of this teaching.

Okay. So having read the first part of this teaching, we have being able to see how to bring our minds to focus when we pray. Now, why is it important that our minds are focused when we pray?

  1. That's an expression of commitment to the prayer.
  2. By being focused in mind when you pray, you show reverence to the One you're praying to. Imagine talking to the president of your nation, and at the same time replying a whatsapp message! That would be unacceptable! You wouldn't even dare it.
  3. You are quick to sense the things that the Spirit of God is bringing into your understanding. Your receptiveness to God is switched on when your mind is at a state of focus when you pray.

So you see, these are the benefits of being focused in your mind when you pray. Nevertheless, the Spirit of God wants you to know that, even when your mind is distracted with thoughts as you pray, God is still hearing you. Let's take a look at our opening Bible passage;

'For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.' - 1 Corinthians 14 vs 1 {KJV}

  • He that speaks in an unknown tongue speaks to God

This is very key! Remember, God's word is final authority! - Selah. The Bible tells us clearly that when we speak in tongues, we speak to God. The distractions of our minds cannot change this! Never! You may be speaking in tongues and at the same time thinking about a project you are planning of executing, and at the same time, you're thinking about your children's school fee, and at the same time you're thinking of your girl friend that left you; whatsoever the distraction in your mind may be as you speak in tongues, it does not change the truth that you are speaking to God. So long as you were still speaking in tongues (though your mind was lost in other thoughts), you were speaking to God. This is truth and fact, because the Bible said so. - Think about it

He that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh unto God - meaning, so long as you continue to speak in tongues, the distractions happening in your mind cannot deny the fact that you are yet speaking to God. Why is the Spirit of God telling you this at this time? it's so that you will not loose confidence in your prayer because of the many distractions that happened to you (in your mind) while you prayed. satan is crafty! he can introduce doubt into your mind from that happening, whereby you might begin to feel you wasted your time in that prayer because of the many unholy and ungodly thoughts your had up playing in your mind while you were praying, which can make you loose faith in your prayer; and the moment doubt sets in, answers are aborted. - Selah

'But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.' - James 1 vs 6 - 7 {KING JAMES VERSION}

  • Nothing wavering
  • Let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord

We can clearly see that to waver (to doubt) after you have prayed is to not receive any thing of the Lord.

Therefore dearly beloved, stand fast upon the truth, stand strong upon the the written word! When you speak in tongues, you speak to God! While it is excellent and proper to have your mind with you when you pray, nevertheless, so long as you are speaking in tongues, nothing is hindering those words from entering God's ears! Not even the distractions in your mind. The Bible says, He that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh unto God. If you ever spoke in tongues, God heard you. Put your faith on this truth! Be in peace. Amen.

God is with you.

FOR GOD HAS NOT GIVEN US THE SPIRIT OF FEAR

'For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.' - 2 Timothy 1 vs 7

A whole lot of persons living in the earth today are living in fear; fear birthed from their lack of understanding of the WORD, and this fear ranges in forms and types, and is diverse. Speaking particularly of Christians: some have fear/anxiety that they are going to hell, some have fear/anxiety that they have offended God and God is angry at them, some fear that they will die. The fear is just diverse, based on what the situation the person is faced with. But dearly beloved, the first thing I want you to know this minute is, fear does not come from God. Let's examine our opening Bible verse again;

'For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.' - 2 Timothy 1 vs 7 {KJV}

We are informed that God has not given us the spirit of fear. In other words, God did not give the spirit of fear; meaning that God did not give the spirit of fear to the Believer. That means that, if a Believer is consumed in fear and anxiety, that anxiety or fear didn't come from God. - Think about it

FEAR HAS A VOICE

For the fact that someone is afraid, it means that there's something that has made him afraid. Men don't fear for nothing, something makes a man to fear. - Selah

So fear has a voice. A Believer who has fear in him is terrified or overwhelmed by a voice - an inner voice, and evidently that voice is the voice of falsehood which is of the devil. Once that voice is addressed by the word of God, so goes the fear also. It's instant, and joy and peace becomes the order of that heart and mind. Hallelujah!

Our opening Bible verse lists to us three (3) virtues that God gave to us. Let's look into them;

  • Power
  • Love
  • Sound mind

Remember I highlighted to you that fear has a voice. Now God did not give us the spirit of fear, but He gave us His Spirit. Now the Spirit of God in the Believer manifests these three in him; Power, Love and Sound mind. - Selah

'But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.' - John 14 vs 26 {KJV}

In these words of the Lord Jesus, we see one of the ministries of the Holy Spirit in the Believer,

BRINGING THE SPOKEN WORD TO OUR REMEMBRANCE

The Holy Spirit reminds us of God's power in us; the Holy Spirit reminds us of God's love towards us in Christ Jesus, the Holy Spirit reminds us of our new nature in Christ, causing us to walk in discipline and self-control.
Note: The word 'sound mind' as used in our opening Bible passage speaks of 'discipline and self-control'. That's the context. Okay.

Dearly beloved, when the devil tells you that you will go to hell for whatever reason, and you are troubled by that voice and you begin to be in fear and anxiety, the Holy Spirit reminds you of the love of the Father towards you, by rehearsing in your heart the written Word concerning the assurance of your Salvation, and that voice is silenced, and immediately you feel lifted; lo, you are lifted and free! By the WORD. - Think about it

Let's see some words of assurance;

'For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.' - John 3 vs 16 {KJV}

  • whosoever believes in Him should not perish

'For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.' - Romans 5 vs 10 {KJV}

  • If when we were enemies (unbelievers, sinners) God loved us, much more now that we are His children, His love for us is unchangeably certain.
  • If when we were sinners, our sins didn't stop God from loving us, much more now that we belong to Him, do you think He is against you because of your errors? - Think about it

As you read these words, I feel in my spirit that the Lord is filling hearts with Peace, even by these words. Amen. Now understand this, a Believer who doesn't have the knowledge of the Gospel cannot experience the fullness of the ministry of the Holy Spirit in his life. That is because the Holy Spirit does not speak to us His own words, Jesus said so! The Holy Spirit reminds us of what has already been spoken/written, He guides us into the knowledge of the Truth - that means, the Holy Spirit helps us understand the Scriptures.

'And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost...' - John 20 vs 22 {KJV}

He imparted on them the Holy Spirit. Luke's account of this verse tells us what that impartation did to them;

'Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures...' - Luke 24 vs 25 {KJV}

You see... So we clearly see and understand that it is the ministry of the Holy Spirit to guide the Believer into the understanding of the written word. - Selah

So I said to you that a Believer who doesn't have the knowledge of the Gospel cannot experience the fullness of the ministry of the Holy Spirit in his life. That is because the Holy Spirit does not speak to us His own words, the Lord Jesus said so! The Holy Spirit reminds us of what has already been spoken/written;

'Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.' - John 16 vs 13 {KJV}

  • for He shall not speak of Himself
  • whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak

So we clearly see and understand that the Holy Spirit only speaks to us the words which God has spoken.

'But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.' - John 14 vs 26 {KJV}

  • He shall bring to our remembrance the words which Christ has spoken

Dearly beloved, having read these things, you see the importance of the Believer having the knowledge of the WORD in him.

When the devil tells you anything that brings fear and anxiety into your life, recall what the Word has said concerning that situation, and stand on it; that becomes the end of that fear.

'Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.' - Ephesians 6 vs 16 {KJV}

From this verse, we understand that indeed satan fires darts to men. Some are darts to the body, some are darts into the mind. But whatever the dart is, the WORD tells us how to overcome them; the WORD says that we should take the shield of faith, with which we quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

HOW DO YOU TAKE THE SHIELD OF FAITH?

In understanding how we take hold of the shield of faith, let's examine the Sword and the Shield, as instruments of war (physical). The Sword is held with the hands, the Shield (which is a protection) is held also with the hands. So we have established an understanding that the Shield and the Sword are held with the hand. Okay. Let's see this;

'And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God...' - Ephesians 6 vs 17 {KJV}

  • The sword of the Spirit is the word of God

Here, we see the word of God referred to as a Sword, as a spiritual weapon; but this time, it is handled with the mouth not the hand. It's called the 'word of God'. That means it is handled with the mouth because words are found in the mouth not in the hand. - Selah

'Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.' - Revelations 2 vs 16 {KJV}

  • the sword of My mouth

That means, the words of My mouth. Look at it, nobody holds a sword with the mouth. So that line of words 'the sword of My mouth' means 'the words of my mouth'. This proves again to us that the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God is handled with the mouth. So you don't fight spiritual battles by holding your Bible in your hand; that's not gonna get the job done. The word must be in your mouth, you must speak forth the WORD concerning your situation in other to see the desired changes. - Selah

Now, we've established the fact that the Sword and the Shield as physical weapons are held with the hands. Likewise, the Sword and the Shield as spiritual weapons are held with the mouth. You see...

'Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.' - Ephesians 6 vs 16 {KJV}

He says, take the shield faith. Take. That word 'Take' connotes using the hands. And we saw that the Sword which is a hand weapon in the physical, is handled with the mouth as a spiritual weapon. That means, every spiritual weapon which exists in the physical, that is presented to us in the Bible in the same context of 'take', is handled with the mouth. - Think about it. May God grant you understanding.

So we take the shield of faith by speaking the word of God in counter attack to the situation that we are faced with.

In physical battle, the Sword is used for attack, the Shield is used for defense. It's same with spiritual battles; the WORD is used for attack, and the same WORD is used for defense. The WORD is both the Sword and the Shield.

When you are attacked by the enemy, you speak forth the word of God concerning that situation that you are faced with; you recall what the WORD has said concerning what you are faced with, and you speak it forth, standing upon it, and you will have the victory over that situation.

Remember our opening Bible passage;

'For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.' - 2 Timothy 1 vs 7 {KJV}

Remember what I explained to you that the Spirit which God gave us (The Holy spirit) reminds us of God's power in us, He reminds us of God's love towards us, and He reminds us of our new nature in Christ.

The Holy Spirit reminds us of God's love towards us. That means, any voice you hear that does not come from the place of love, is not from God! Any voice that condemns you or judges you or accuses you, is not the voice of the Holy Spirit, because the Holy Spirit reminds us of the Father's love for us, He doesn't judge us; He doesn't condemn us, He doesn't accuse us.

'Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.
Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.' - Romans 8 vs 33 - 34 {KJV}

  • Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect?
Meaning, who can bring any accusation against the Believer in Christ? It's obvious that God does not do the accusation, hence the question!

  • It is God that justifieth
God cannot justify and accuse at the same time. - Selah. To justify means to be declared not guilty. God cannot say you are not guilty, and at the same time pass a sentence on you. - Beloved, think!!!

  • Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died
He is telling you that nobody can condemn you; because the one (satan) that condemns you didn't die for you. The one that has the authority and legality to condemn you, died for you; His name is JESUS. Glory to God forever. Amen.

Finally,

'Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.' - 1 Corinthians 12 vs 27 {KJV}

The next time the devil tells you that you are going to hell, remind him that the body of Christ cannot go to hell. You are the body of Christ; that means that you are the express image of Christ in the earth. Remember, wherever the head is the body is there, and wherever the body is, the head is there. If it be that you are the body of Christ, it therefore means that Christ the head is with you, making the full personality of Christ manifest in you. Therefore, you cannot go to hell because Christ cannot go to hell - you are His body. The body of Christ cannot go to hell. The body of Christ is Christ himself. Your body is you, you are your body. Your head cannot be in the house, and your nose in the supermarket. Likewise, where Christ (the head) is, there His body is also; where His body is, there He (the head) is also. If you be Christ's body, the full personality of Christ is manifest in you. Do ensure to school the devil, just as the Lord educated him in the wilderness. Speak out the Word, even these words, and see that fear disappear like it never was present. Glory to God forevermore. Amen.

Waowww! What a time we have had in the WORD. I know that God has refreshed your heart by these words that I have spoken unto you by the Spirit of God. Live in peace. Fear not. God is with you.

ADDRESSING THIS LAMENT - 'WHY DID THIS HAPPEN TO ME?'

Dearly beloved, there's no need for you to lament thus "why did this happen to me?"

You have to recognize these things;

  1. Trials happen to people, and nobody has the ability to determine which trial befalls him.
  2. Irrespective of what trial befalls you, if it happened to you, God allowed it - though God did not send it to you, but He allowed it because He has equipped you with the victory over it, and it will work out His plan for your life. Let's see some Bible verses;

'There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.' - 1 Corinthians 10 vs 13 {KJV}

Let me show it to you in the Amplified Bible Translation;

'For no temptation (no trial regarded as enticing to sin), [no matter how it comes or where it leads] has overtaken you and laid hold on you that is not common to man [that is, no temptation or trial has come to you that is beyond human resistance and that is not adjusted and adapted and belonging to human experience, and such as man can bear]. But God is faithful [to His Word and to His compassionate nature], and He [can be trusted] not to let you be tempted and tried and assayed beyond your ability and strength of resistance and power to endure, but with the temptation He will [always] also provide the way out (the means of escape to a landing place), that you may be capable and strong and powerful to bear up under it patiently.'

You see...God doesn't send trial to man, but God decides which trial befalls the Believer. Nothing happens to God's child without God's approval. Let me highlight that line to you from the above Bible verse;

'...but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able...'

You see... The word "suffer" as used in that verse means "allow"; that's simply old English language style of communication. Okay, take note of the line "who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able". This shows us that it is God that allows the trials we face come to us. God does not send the trials, but He decides which comes to us, based on our strength;

See it;

'...but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able...'

Take note of the words that ye are able - this speaks of ability/capacity/strength. Meaning, God decides which trial comes to His children, based on their different abilities/capacities and strengths. - Think about it

'And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.' - Romans 8 vs 28 {KJV}

ALL THINGS

So we see that every trial we face, irrespective of how traumatic they are, irrespective of how weighty they are, God uses them to work out good for us. Amazing! That means, the Believer in Christ can never be in a helpless situation; there's no hopelessness for the man who is in Christ. - Selah

So dearly beloved, don't be dismayed neither should you fall into hopelessness because of what you might be faced with presently. Receive these words today and have hope that God is working things out for your good. Amen. God is with you, and you will rejoice by your deliverance which God will give to you by the revelation of Christ. Amen.

God's grace is with your spirit.

THERE'S A WAY OF ESCAPE

'There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.' - 1 Corinthians 10 vs 13

Beloved, take note of the words, but will with the temptation also make a way to escape.

Dearly beloved, irrespective of the trouble, challenge, distress, sorrow, trauma, pain you might be experiencing right now, your heart and mind will be gladdened and refreshed with strength from God just to know that there's a way of escape from that situation. - Think about it. You know, some situations can be so tough, painful, and dark that one cannot see any hope or chance of being free from it; but that's not so! The WORD informs us that God will make a way to escape for us out of that situation. So be glad by this hope! - Selah

This is the purpose of this publication; to inform you and let you know that you can be free, that situation is not helpless, one can be free from that trauma, yes, God gave that assurance and it is true. - Think about it

So therefore dearly beloved, having this hope in you, look to God in expectation for the change your heart seeks, trust God that He will bring to you the healing your mind needs; His Word will deliver you and bring you out from your distress. Amen. You have a Testimony!

Go for the WORD! In the Revelation of the WORD, healing flows.

God is with you.
