DON’T STOP PRAYING

'And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David.' - Matthew 20 vs 31

Greetings to you dearly beloved of God in Christ Jesus. This is yet another but brief talk on prayer. Don't stop praying. Be lifted!

I want us to see the full story of what transpired in our opening Bible passage:

30 And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David.
31 And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David.
32 And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will ye that I shall do unto you?
33 They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened.
34 So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him. – Matthew 20 vs 30 – 34 {KING JAMES VERSION}

We can see that the men began to pray concerning their circumstances, for they were blind. It says that when they heard that Jesus passed by, they cried out. That speaks of prayer. They began to pray. Now, a point came when the multitude of people that went along opposed them to keep quiet. That speaks of delay in response. That point when you have prayed concerning something, and it seems not to be coming, and you feel like quitting praying. But what did these two blind men do? The verse 31 tells us what they did. It says but they cried the more. That’s what you do when answers are not coming; increase your voice, increase the tone of your prayer, increase your focus and concentration in your prayer, keep crying out loud to the Father, for He cares, He will not let you down, He is compassionate! And that was exactly the case with these men, the verse 32 says, And Jesus stood still, and called them, and that was how they got their miracle.

Let’s take knowledge from verse 34:

So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight…

Jesus had compassion on them. We must continually keep this in our hearts that Jesus is compassionate and full of it. Let that be our driving force in continuous praying till our desires are met.

Don’t stop praying, He’s compassionate. Soon enough, just as He attended to them and the two which were blind began to see, He’ll likewise attend to your matter, and you shall have peace. Amen.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
