REMEMBER WHAT YOU SEE, ALWAYS

'But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.' - James 1 vs 22 - 24 {KING JAMES VERSION}

So we understand that a man who hears the Word but doesn't practice it, is likened unto the man who forgets the image of himself that he saw in the mirror not quite long.

Practicing the Word of God will be brought about by the Believer's active consciousness of the same in circumstances and situations. In circumstances and situations, if you don't have the remembrance of what the Word says, you will definitely act contrary to the life of Christ in you, because you were not conscious of the Word in the midst of that situation.

Every time a Believer falls short of proper conduct in the outburst of situations, the Holy Spirit visits his heart with correction, reminding him of what the Word says, thereby showing him how he ought to have behaved! What should you therefore do? Take the correction, and increase your consciousness of who you are in Christ, and what the Word has said. Take that consciousness with you for the 24 hours of the day, everywhere you go. Because you see, if you are actively in remembrance/conscious of what the Word says, when you are in situations or temptations, you will behave godly! You will manifest the conduct expected of you as one who has met Christ. Think about this.

HOW TO CULTIVATE A CONSTANT CONSCIOUSNESS OF THE WORD

'Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.' - Psalm 119 vs 11 {KJV}

  • Meditation

'This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.' - Joshua 1 vs 8 {KJV}

  • Meditation on the Word day and night

Meditation! Meditation on the Word day and night as we saw in the verse above depicts Reading your Bible everyday.

If you are of the habit of daily reading of the Bible, your mind will be constantly reminded of your new realities in Christ, your mind will be daily reminded of how God expects you to do things. Hence, you become susceptible to godliness in every situation! In every situation, whether it be a temptation or an occurrence, you will always do the right thing, because your mind is in great remembrance of the Word of God.

This is it! This is how it works. A constant daily meditation on the Word!

You remember,
"Read your Bible, Pray everyday
Pray everyday, Pray everyday
Read your Bible, Pray everyday
If you want to grow!"

Hahahaha. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
