WE IN CHRIST, CHRIST IN US - THE SUMMARY OF THE GOSPEL

'Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.' - Hebrews 13 vs 13

Before I begin making explanations, let us see the previous verse of our opening Bible passage;

'Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.' - Hebrews 13 vs 12 {KJV}

Let's see these two verses from The Living Bible Translation;

'...Jesus suffered and died outside the city, where his blood washed our sins away.
So let us go to him beyond the city walls (that is, outside the interests of this world, being willing to be despised to suffer with him there, bearing his shame.'

Waow.

There are some words I will like to highlight to you from the Bible verses we've read above;

  • JESUS suffered and died outside the city
  • Let us go to him beyond the city walls

What do these words mean? It's simple. The Bible is telling us that Jesus went beyond Himself, He went beyond His own interests, fulfilling the Father's interest, and that brought us Salvation. Therefore, if we say we truly love Him, let us also go beyond our interests (the interests/desires of this world) in the honor of Him. - Selah. This is the summary of the Gospel: Christ had us in mind to Save us; and because of that, we have Him in our minds to please and honor Him. - Think about it

Dearly beloved, in Christianity, walking in righteousness is not self righteousness; a Christian who pursues after living Godly and pleasing God is not self righteous, no! That is what Christianity is all about, we in Christ, and Christ in us. Christ gave Himself for us, and we in return (because we have love for Him) we give ourselves for Him. - Selah. By the way, how do you say you love somebody and intentionally hurt that person? - Think about it

'We love him, because he first loved us.' - 1 John 4 vs 19 {KJV}

You see, this thought is captured again in this verse: God loved us first by giving to us so great a Salvation in Christ which we could never and can never merit; and that gift He gave to us filled us with love for Him; hence, we love Him back. Christ went beyond His own interests for us, we too we go beyond our own interests for Him. This is true love - flowing from our Savior to us, and flowing from us to our Savior; this is the message of the Gospel. This is what your life should be like as a Believer in Christ, this is what our lives should be like as Christians; pleasing God, denying ourselves, going beyond our interests to please Him, as He did for us. There's nothing like self righteousness here, it's a thing of love, sacrificial love (which is the true love). - Selah

WE IN CHRIST
He had us in mind

CHRIST IN US
We have Him in mind.

This is the entire message of the Gospel of our Salvation.

God is with you.
