THIS COMMITMENT TO CHRIST

Let me begin by saying to you that, as believers in Christ, there's a commitment we have to Christ which shows that we truly love Him. Let's see some Bible verses;

'Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.
Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.' - Hebrews 13 vs 12 - 13 {KING JAMES VERSION}

  • Let us go forth therefore unto Him without the camp

The word 'without' as used in the passage above means 'outside'. The above Bible verses is explaining to us that Christ went all out for us; let us therefore go all out for Him. - Selah. It takes someone who truly appreciates the work of Jesus for him that will reciprocate that love to Him. - Think about it

'Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.' - Ephesians 5 vs 14 {KJV}

Let me show this verse to you from the Message Bible Translation;

'Wake up from your sleep, Climb out of your coffins; Christ will show you the light!'

  • Climb out of your coffins

This is a call to commitment! Believers who walk in darkness and practice evil, don't have a commitment to the Lord. A true Christian has a commitment to the Lord; because commitment is a sign of gratitude; commitment is a sign of appreciation, commitment is a show that you have something to do with someone; commitment is an expression of love. - Think about it. If you truly are a follower of Jesus Christ, you are committed to Him, you live in accordance to how He wants you to live - this is not self righteousness, this is commitment.

'Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.' - 1 John 2 vs 15 {KJV}

A Believer who is worldly, obviously hasn't made an intentional commitment to follow Christ - love for the Father is not in him. - Think about it. But how could you say you are a Christian and not love the Father, your Father? How could you say you love the Father and at the same time you are intentional doing evil? Just how? - Selah

When you say you love someone; when you truly love someone, it shows in how you work with the person. It's simple.

'We love him, because he first loved us.' - 1 John 4 vs 19 {KJV}

It's clear. When you are truly grateful and appreciative to God for the kind of salvation He gave you in Christ, you will naturally show forth that gratitude by living in such a way that He loves. - Think about it. Has someone ever helped you in a way and measure you never expected or thought possible that they would do to you? How did you begin to see them? How high did your respect for them become? How did your relationship with them turn out from that moment? How high did you begin to esteem them? How much did you always want to do things for them? How much did you always want to do things that please them? That is what I am talking to you about. - Think about it. May God give you understanding. Amen.

Oo this blessed commitment to Christ my Saviour! Glory to God forevermore. Amen. Beloved, decide today.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
