THIS ULTIMATE INSTRUCTION WITH AN ULTIMATE CONSEQUENCE

'Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you...' - James 4 vs 8

I was just thinking one time, what it looks like that GOD drew near to a man. Our opening Bible verse is an instruction to us, it's a beneficial instruction that's conditioned to a responsibility; we see a benefit of GOD drawing HIMSELF to us, but we will first play our parts, which is, to draw near to HIM. The Living Bible translation puts it this way;

'And when you draw close to God, God will draw close to you.'

You see the usage of the word "when" there, which makes it clear that that instruction is a conditional instruction.

Think about it Beloved, how blessed is that man who GOD is with. You know, alot of Christians can claim that GOD is with them. O yes HE is! But you know what, if GOD is with a man, there are evidences, notable evidence which even the blind will see. - Selah. There's such a thing as GOD is close to a man. Think about it. And as we have seen above, there are conditions for a man to attain that experience. Let's see another admonishing on this matter in the Bible;

'Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers [do not make mismated alliances with them or come under a different yoke with them, inconsistent with your faith]. For what partnership have right living and right standing with God with iniquity and lawlessness? Or how can light have fellowship with darkness?' - 2 Corinthians 6 vs 14 {AMP}

• For what partnership have right living and right standing with God with iniquity and lawlessness?

Then the verse 17 says,

'So, come out from among [unbelievers], and separate (sever) yourselves from them, says the Lord, and touch not [any] unclean thing; then I will receive you kindly and treat you with favor...'

Waow! Just think about it. Evidently, from these verses we have read now, we learn that one way to draw ourselves close to GOD is to separate ourselves from things that corrupt! - Selah Three (3) key points stand out in the Bible verses we have just read, they are;

• Come out from among them
• Separate yourselves from them
• Don't get involved in any unclean/ungodly thing

See this;

'There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:

The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest except God be with him.' - John 3 vs 1 - 2 {KING JAMES VERSION}

• Except GOD be with him

O boiii! This is what I am taking about, when GOD is with a man there will be infallible supernatural excellences that accompanies that man's life, such beauty, such splendor, such grace, such favor! - Selah. In 2 Corinthians 6 vs 17 where we read above, it says that GOD will treat us with favor when we separate ourselves from the spots of this world. That means, there's gonna be a mark of specialty and exemption [from odds] upon the life of that Believer, such that He will be distinguished amongst others. Dearly beloved, this is an experience you want to have for a life time, but it starts with you. - Think about it

It's an ultimate instruction, draw near to GOD, with an ultimate consequence, GOD will draw near to you.

May you be strengthened with Grace from GOD to walk pleasing before HIM in all things, and cause you to know and experience what it is that GOD is with a man. AMEN.
