CHRIST IS OUR HOPE
‘Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope…’ – 1 Timothy 1 vs 1
Hello Dearly Beloved I the LORD Jesus Christ, I bring you exhortation
from the Spirit of God this moment. Read and be Lifted in the Name of Jesus
Christ.
Now, as the coming of the LORD draws nigh, I want you to
know that satan is doing all his best to attach a multitude of souls (even
believers) to himself, and the only way the devil can get a believer to fall
away is by getting him to believe a wrong thing. Our opening scripture makes us
understand that Jesus Christ is our hope. Now if I may ask, Hope of what? He
was simply saying that the LORD Jesus Christ is our hope for Heaven, our hope
for eternal rescue from the wrathful judgment to come. – Selah
Beloved, I’d love you to note that the scriptures didn’t say
our good conduct is our hope, neither our righteousness, but CHRIST; HIS
Righteousness not ours; HIS efforts not ours; HIS performance not our; HIS
works not ours, that’s our hope. – Selah. Now you must come to the full
acknowledging that the Just (Believer) shall live by Faith and not by his works.
Romans 1 vs 17;
‘For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith
to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.’ – {KJV}
Now, we just saw the King James Version of that scripture; now
let’s see it in the MSG (Message Bible) version;
‘God’s way of putting people right shows up in the acts of
faith, confirming what scripture has said all along: “The person in right
standing before God by trusting him really lives.”’
Did you see that? In other words, that scripture is denoting
that our Faith makes provision for God to put us right (To cause us to do
right, to imagine right, to think right). You see? Christians don’t live
worldly lives, but the power to live that God fearing life comes from our Faith
(Knowledge & Understanding) in the works of the LORD. For example, the
scripture above has declared that Christ is our hope for salvation (Heaven). In
other words, the Righteousness of Christ is your qualification. As you begin to
accept these truths, one sure thing I know it will do in you is to fill you up
with the love of God, such love that of its own will causes you to naturally
please God. So it will no longer be a struggle for you pleasing God, no. But it
has become a divinely empowered act.
‘Our Faith in HIS
works empowers us to live above the world.’ – Jenning Uweye
You see?
‘For the love of Christ constraineth us…’ – 2 Corinthians 5
vs 14 {KJV}
To constrain means to compel, to force one to action.
Knowing the Gospel, knowing what Christ did for you and what HIS death truly
meant imposes on us love for HIM. Just come to think of it, Who is there in
this world that will not love someone who never take record of any wrong of
his, who has forgiven him before he errs? – Selah
Therefore, as you read our messages here on this Blog, you
are continually enlightened about the works of the LORD on the cross, and the
Spirit of God will confirm it in you, and you will love HIM (Jesus), then that
love becomes your empowerment to live above sin and the world. Because it’s
that love the scripture says constrains us. So that habit which naturally in
the flesh you could not get rid of, suddenly you are over it, that addiction
you thought would last throughout your life time, suddenly you are over it. You
see? The works of righteousness which naturally we could not perfect, suddenly
they have become our lifestyles. How was it made possible? By our efforts? No!
By our trying to do them? No! But by the
divine empowerment which came from our Faith in HIS finished works.
God Bless You.
