‘For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a
better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.’ – Hebrews 7 vs 19
Hello Dearly Beloved in the LORD Jesus, I trust your spirit,
soul, and body have been receiving the rich Blessings of God by the teachings
you’ve been receiving on here on the Blog. This is just another word of the
Grace to Refresh and Bless your spirit. Be Blessed. AMEN.
Our opening scripture informs us of a better hope which was
and is better than the Law. This better hope been talked about as you already
know is the new covenant, the covenant of Grace. There was a old covenant,
which was the covenant of the Law, which was propounded by Moses; and there is
a new covenant, the covenant of GRACE, propounded by the LORD from Heaven,
Jesus Christ. Glory be to HIS Holy Name forever. AMEN.
Now, I want to draw your attention to this line in that scripture;
by the which we
draw nigh unto God You see that? Do you know what it’s talking
about? It is saying that the new covenant
causes us to draw near to God. That’s the way it is originally put. There
must be something glorious about this new covenant that causes us to wanno draw
near to God. You must understand that naturally, men don’t draw near to things
that have no profit to them. Therefore, there must be some good stuff about
this new covenant that causes us of our own will to draw near to God. Let’s
see;
‘…the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance…’ – Romans 2
vs 4 {KJV}
Now, many religious preachers turn it the other way, giving
a notion that if you repent, then you will see the goodness of God. But we must
not reverse God orders. God says, see my goodness, HE didn’t even ask you to repent,
because you cannot experience HIS goodness and not have a change of heart. That’s
what repentance means, a change of heart. You see that? What’s God’s goodness?
He says you are perfected (Forgiven, Righteous, Accepted) forever {Hebrews 10 vs 14}. When you believed in
Jesus, that’s the covenant HE brought you into. O what a covenant! – Selah.
Little wonder our opening scripture called it HOPE, a better hope. If you are
forgiven forever, if you are righteous forever, meaning never faulty before
God, waow! If you are accepted forever, then what takes you to hell? – Selah.
Nothing! What love HE has lavishly bestowed upon us. Now tell me, if all these
have been done for you, how in the world you can not love Him. It says, by the which we draw nigh unto God. It’s
such a supernatural thing. Anyone who has understood the new covenant, the
covenant of Grace of a surety walks in righteousness, walks in love, walks in
holiness. You see? Because HE has understood that someone so lavishly loves
him, it puts a constrain on him to reciprocate that same love to HIM that loved
and loves him, and men see it by the outcome of his life.
In the covenant of the law, sin is contagious. Because in the Law, God demands from man.
Thou shall not, thou shall! And
unfortunately, man in his best state is unholy and imperfect, hence man can
never meet up to the holy requirements of the law, hence he is infected by sin.
But in the covenant of GRACE, Holiness, Righteousness, Purity, Love is
contagious. Because in GRACE, God gives
to man. And by so doing, man is loved, which causes him to love back with
all of his heart, with all of his soul, with all of his mind, with all
readiness. You see? Does he do it by personal efforts in trying to please God?
No! Love has become his driving force, and because it is fueled by love, it is
done perfectly! Even when we fall or fail at any point (which is 100% possible;
we are in the flesh don’t forget), we have the unchangeable word to hold on to.
And what is the word? We are perfected (Forgiven, Righteous, Accepted) forever {Hebrews 10 vs 14}. And in holding unto
it, we see ourselves above guilts and condemnation, loving the LORD evermore, whether
in our weak times or high times. We have come to know that it’s none of us, but
all of HIM. In the Law, our becoming was
all of us, all of our obedience. But under GRACE, our becoming is all of HIM,
all of HIS faithfulness. All HE wants from us is to believe. If there is
any work a child of God should work, it’s BELIEVING! – Selah
It’s a better hope indeed.
God Bless You.
