REMAIN IN LOVE

'But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.' - Matthew 5 vs 39

Beloved, I pray that as you read this Blessing, God will speak to your heart in Jesus name. AMEN.

Our opening scripture was a profound statement our Lord and Saviour made Himself. That statement has been greatly fought in the world right from His days on earth down to this present day generation. What did He say? Let's look into it.

He said, 'Resist not evil'. What is the meaning of Resist? Resist speaks of opposition, to oppose, Resist speaks of defense, to defend, Resist speaks of withstanding, to withstand, Resist speak of reversal, to reverse the effect or effects of an action. So by this, Jesus was saying that we should withstand not evil that men do unto us with respect to the social-interactive environment. Waow! He went on and said, whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

My Dear, I have always taught you how that we have a new nature now we yield to and live by because of salvation, that's the nature of the Holy Spirit which is LOVE. It doesn't please the Father (Jesus) when we fight back at someone who strikes us, or who started a fight with us. Let me ask you this, when people shout at you, maybe your age mates, when they shout at you or rail down insults on you that hurts you down to your inner marrows, what do you do? Do you retaliate? Do you throw back words at them? Do you throw back insults at them? No we don't do that. Don't forget the lucid sayings of our Lord in our opening scripture, 'resist not evil'. We don't withstand, we don't reverse their doings or actions back to them, no. We let it come, all of it, and we swallow it all up in the precious LOVE of our Lord Jesus Christ. This may be hurtful, it may be painful, but we just have no other life to live by but our new life of LOVE, and we cannot afford to yield to the flesh because it's too Stinky! And Risky!

Let's see this;

'And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also.' - Luke 6 vs 29 {KJV}

Let's see the [b] section of this scripture, it says if any man take your cloak, allow him also take your coat. What? Do you know what He's talking about here? This is Jesus speaking here. Cloak and Cloth here speaks of Raiment, it speaks of clothes, cloak were special dressing attires worn on top of the coat. It was a fashion people desired in the old days, and they even have modern made cloak garments now. Now see how special this is to a person, yet Jesus is saying if a man should take it away from you, don't oppose his furtherance in taking the coat also. O my God! This must be a Higher Life. Ummmm

Brothers and Sisters, when you are cheated in business, and you know the person, and you have proves against that person, don't oppose that person, don't resist, just let it go! When you hire someone to do a job, and the person billed you higher than the normal cost of the materials, and you came to find out you were cheated, ignore! Not because you are a fool in the flesh, but because you are wise in the Spirit. The wisdom of the flesh is foolishness before God. Hence, the Christian that objects and arrests has acted in the flesh, he may think he has proved to be smart and wise, but before God, he was so foolish! {1 Corinthians 3 vs 19}. God's wisdom in such matters is for us to be silent, is for us to bear the pain and the loss(es) as well. Why? God knows how to reply better, and repay you for your love. When God judges a man in your sight, even you will beg God to have mercy on that man. God is Brutal! God kills! When God is out to judge your oppressors, you will smile and discover that you never knew how to retaliate better than God. Don't forget who your God is, a consuming FIRE! Never forget that. {Hebrews 12 vs 29}.

Romans  12:19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

12:20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

12:21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. {KING JAMES VERSION}

Did you see that? He said don't be overcome of evil, meaning don't reply evil with evil, but reply evil with Good. Why? God has promised He will surely repay! And I love what Paul said, He said we should not avenge/revenge people, but rather, we should give place for wrath. Then I began to ask the Lord, what does that mean, and the Lord said to my heart, when you do to your haters, oppressors (Physical Oppressors) the opposite of the evil they do to you, He said you heap coals of fire on their head. Then the Lord said something that made me shout, He said, son, coals of fire are not for water to be poured upon you know, but for fire to be light on! Hey! Are you catching something already? He said the more good you reply them with, the more coals Angels hip on them! He said when the time is ripe, I will light my fire upon it, and they can't escape my trouble! The Bible in Hebrews 10 vs 31 says that it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Hahahahahahahahahaha. They are in big trouble!

My dear, God knows how to deal with them better. Just keep on doing good, bearing all their insults and troubles, bear all their oppressions and remain nice to them inspite all the wickedness they do to you. Give them food when they hunger, give them water when they thirst, that's how we heap coals on them, and by heaping coals, that's how we give place for God's wrath on them as the Apostle Paul has just said above. The Lord also told me this, that as He begins to judge them, at the same time, He'll begin to Remeber you for your labour of love.

'For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name...' - Hebrews 6 vs 10 {KJV}

It's God's nature, He doesn't forget our efforts of love! Also, When there is an oppressor and an oppressed on a certain issue, God doesn't answer them both differently. God may only be  patient on the matter, but when He steps in, He judges and blesses at the same time! God does not judge at time A and bless at time B, no! He judges and blesses at the same time. As He was judging Egypt with the plagues, the Israelites were increasing in Silver and Gold in the same land of Egypt where judgement was actively manifesting.

My dear, maybe you spread your clothes on the line outside to be hit by the sun, and the rain came and fell on them, yet your neighbours saw the rain coming and did not take the clothes from off the line. When you come back, don't worry, simply bear the pain and the wickedness. The day the rain comes and their own clothes are on the line outside, and they are not around, rush out and get their clothes inside for them. Infact, go the length of Ironing it for them. That's what Jesus said, He said if a man takes our cloak, let us not forbid him from taking our coat. That speaks of an extra mile. The Lord wants our love reply to them to be in a double fold of the wickedness they show to us. So it's not just enough to take it inside for them, do something extra, maybe iron it, or fold it neatly. The extra mile is what God rewards. When they come back and see that which you have done, they will be ashamed, and the Name of your GOD will be glorified by your so doing.

Remain in love.

 God Bless You.
