PASTOR, CAUTION!

How a pastor can be on his way to hell, but he’s not aware!

‘Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’’ - Matthew 7 vs 22 - 23 {BSB}

For the fact that they said to the Lord “did we not prophesy in Your name…” and the other things they said, shows us that

1 - They thought they were working with God
2 - They never imagined that they were not in the will of God

Scary stuff!

Recall what the Lord said to them, “I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness!”

  • workers of lawlessness!
Uhmmm! The King James Version puts it as ‘ye that work iniquity’.

Another thought,

These preachers never saw themselves as workers of iniquity! They confidently said to the Lord, “Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?” If they thought of themselves as workers of iniquity, they would not have boldly put forth that defence to the Lord!

So it’s possible that a pastor has long left the will of God (which is righteousness), but he’s unaware. Waow!

Hey guys, let’s examine ourselves thoroughly and take away from us every hidden and unnoticed strand of unrighteousness. Ask the Lord to show you you! He will.

Irrespective of what any theologian has said and taught, sir, the goal is Heaven! Don’t be deceived!

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
