NOW THAT YOU ARE BORN AGAIN - PT. 1

'Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.' - 2 Corinthians 5 vs 17

Greetings to you dearly beloved of God in Christ Jesus. Grace be to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

Read carefully and attentively, as I unpack to you the mysteries of Christ's grace in this teaching series. It is well with you. Amen.

Beloved, as a new creature in Christ, born again; you need to know that you are born with a new life and for a new life.

YOU ARE BORN IN CHRIST WITH A NEW LIFE

'He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.' - 1 John 5 vs 12 {KJV}

• he that has the Son has life

'The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.' - John 10 vs 10 {KJV}

• I am come that they might have life

This life is called Eternal Life.

'And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.' - 1 John 5 vs 11 {KJV}

• God has given to us eternal life

'For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.' - John 3 vs 16 {KJV}

• whosoever believes in Him has everlasting life

The word "everlasting" and the word "eternal" speaks of the same things - Living/existing without end.

Eternal life means "existing forever". So the Believer will exist/live forever. Hallelujah! For this purpose death will be destroyed;

'The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.' - 1 Corinthians 15 vs 26 {KJV}

death is called an enemy! That speaks volume; that shows us that God is not responsible for the death of men or anything, because death itself is an enemy of God and His church. Hence, God will not use the tool of His enemy to carry out His agenda. Let that sink! God is not responsible for the death of any man; rather, God has purposed to destroy death so that it will cease to have power over men. The men who will be beneficiaries and partakers of this deathless existence are those who have received Eternal Life by believing in the resurrection of the Son of God (Jesus) from the dead. - Selah

• should not perish

Meaning the man who has eternal life will not perish, but he will exist forever. Hallelujah!

YOU ARE BORN IN CHRIST FOR A NEW LIFE

'Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.' - Romans 6 vs 4 {KJV}

• we also should walk in newness of life

'For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.' - Ephesians 2 vs 10 {KJV}

• We are created for good works
• God before ordained (pre-determined) that we should walk in them (good works)

'But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light...' - 1 Peter 2 vs 9 {KJV}

• We are chosen to show forth the praises of God (the attributes of God)

The new life we have received in Christ has a nature, it has characteristics. Until you know the nature of your new birth in Christ, until you know the characteristics of your new life which you have in Christ, you cannot live the new life which you ought to live out as one who is in Christ. - Selah

In the next part of this Article, we will continue from here and begin to explore our identity in Christ; because it's only when a man knows who he is, that is only when he can know how he ought to behave, as you cannot expect a certain conduct from a person who doesn't know that that is who he is. - Selah
