IN TIMES OF AFFLICTION

'Is any among you afflicted? let him pray.' - James 5 vs 13

Greetings to you dearly beloved of God in Christ Jesus. Be guided by these words which I bring to you right now, which have the ability to bring you into liberation, freedom, and lifting from your pains. Amen.

Our opening Bible verse brings the word 'affliction' to mind. It tells us what to do when we are afflicted. Now, we know that the word 'affliction' has its root in the word 'pain'.

We go through different things everyday in our lives, and face diverse challenges and trials, we fall into diverse kinds of troubles, and these things we face sometimes have ways of troubling our peace, causing us heaviness and restlessness. That's an affliction. Now in times like that, what do you do? You Pray! There's a realm prayer introduces us to during times of distress, and that realm is what I call the realm of knowing the Holy Spirit as 'My Counselor'. - Selah

Counselor is one of the ministries of the Holy Spirit which the Bible tells us of in the Book of John 15 vs 26:

'But when the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby) comes, whom I will send...' - {AMP}

You see, the Holy Spirit is referred to as the Counselor. What's the job of a Counselor? The job of a Counselor according to the Oxford English Dictionary is 'Adviser, Person giving professional guidance on personal problems.' This is who the Holy Spirit is to you, He's a Professional at any issue, and this is the ministry you'll begin to experience as you pray.

As you pray, you'll experience that scriptures/Bible passages and verses relating to the issue you're suffering of pops up in your heart, and when your soul receives a word that totally addresses the issue it's faced with, peace becomes the resultant effect, and suddenly you are free and have found your peace again. You see that? That's the Counseling ministry of the Holy Spirit, best experienced in the place of prayer.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
