ABOVE AFFLICTIONS

‘For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.’ – 1 Corinthians 6 vs 20

Hello Beloved, I bring you greetings in the Name of the LORD Jesus Christ. The LORD began talking to me about this very crucial topic, how that many of HIS children think that as a result of their sins, that’s why they were afflicted with one sickness, plague or the other. But I came to correct an impression by the WORD of the LORD. Please, don’t only read and be Blessed, but also share with your friends so that they can be Blessed as well. God Bless You.

Our opening scripture buttresses a Great Truth. It makes us understand that not only our spirits, but our body as well belongs to the LORD. We are going somewhere. Let’s see something;

‘No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.’ – Mark 3 vs 27 {KJV}

With respect to the Kingdom of God, who is the strong man? The LORD! {Psalms 24 vs 8}. Who is the strong man’s house, or what is the strong man’s house? The Believers! {1 Corinthians 6 vs 19}. What are HIS goods? The things that make up the house. In other words, the things that consists to our lives.

Now, let’s get something clear;

‘But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.’ – 1 Corinthians 6 vs 17 {KJV}

When you received the Holy Ghost, HE came to be one with your spirit, therefore, your spirit is mingled with the Holy Spirit, in other words, your spirit and the Holy Spirit stands as one; in other words, when you say my spirit, you are as well saying the Spirit of God. Why? You are now one Spirit with HIM. – Selah. Do you know what that means? Waow! So what meaneth this that people say? How is it therefore possible for a curse to successfully work on one who is one spirit with the LORD of Glory? – Selah. How can satan therefore successfully afflict someone who is one spirit with the LORD? – Selah

Someone might be smart enough to say, Pastor Jenning, what about my body? If you say my spirit is preserved and cannot be afflicted; can’t my body get sick? Can’t my body get afflicted? Yea my Dear. But mind you, Man is a spirit, but relates with this physical world through his body, and you know what, we have security for our body. Now, when we get sick, when we get afflicted, they are a trying of our faith. Every child of God must have this mind set firmly rooted in him that sicknesses and conditions are normal to come, but they are only a testing of our faith; the destiny of affliction in the body of a Christian is to be disappear and not to prevail. So get this, when you are sick, know in yourself that its final destiny in your body is to fade away and not to prevail over you, because you are confident in the WORD of God concerning your health, hence, you are certain that its destiny in your body is to pass away and redound to a testimony to the Glory of God.- Selah. Let’s see this;

And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness;
¹⁷ And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended. – Mark 4 vs 16 – 17 {KING JAMES VERSION}

Here we get that persecutions and afflictions will surely arise in our lives, we will surely have health troubles, but they don’t come because we are exposed to attacks, no! But for the WORD sake in us, as a test whether indeed we trust in them! – Selah

We belong to Jesus Christ. Our Body and our Spirit belongs to HIM. Therefore it would be unacceptable by God for any man to put a curse on you. Why? Can a man come into a strong man’s house and spoil his goods? – Selah. The LORD is the STRONG MAN, we HIS children (who have believed in HIS finished works) are HIS house, and the affairs of our lives, our health, our destiny, our marriage, and our children are HIS goods. Hence, we are completely saved from the destruction of the devil because the LORD, our God is STRONGEST! No man, neither a devil can temper with HIS house where HE lives (which you are), neither HIS goods which are the affairs of your life. – Selah

Now that same folk may want to ask another intelligent question; Pastor Jenning, what you have said is true. But what if I sin, I think the devil can use that against me to afflict me. Haha! Intelligent you. But that’s not true unfortunately. Let’s see this;

‘Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand.’ – Romans 14 vs 4 {KJV}

By the help of the HOLY SPIRIT, I found something beautiful in that scripture! It says, Who are you that passes judgement on another man’s servant. The LORD opened my eyes, and I saw this; Who is the devil that afflicts one who is not his? You see, in that scripture, we get an idea that someone who answers to a LORD has fallen, but a third party is there busy judging, condemning and criticizing him. So the Lord is asking that third party? Who are you to judge him when he is not your servant! Glory! It therefore means, satan has no right to afflict you when you sin, because you didn’t sin to him, you sinned to the LORD, and the LORD doesn’t give a damn, HE says HE is able to make you stand. – Selah. What a loving Jesus, HE is more interested in your standing than in your fall, HE didn’t talk much about the fall, but HE’S all about your rising. He says, , He shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand. Hallelujah! He shall be holding up, it didn’t say he shall be condemned, but he shall be holding up. My Dear, God is not the one condemning you; you are free in HIS sight. Realize this and be free! AMEN.

Therefore child of God, when you sin, you sin to the LORD, and satan is still not licensed to afflict you. Someone is reading this right now, and thinks that his current predicament is as a result of the sins he has committed. But I tell you by the WORD of the LORD, that the devil has only lied to you for a long time that your sins has caused it. You see, he’s acting on your ignorance! he knows that if he will get you to believe a lie, then he gots you in bondage {Hosea 4 vs 6}.  That sickness, that affliction you are currently faced with is not because of your sins, my Dear, it’s not! Your ignorance of this has kept you long in that condition! Now knowledge has come, now the love of the LORD Jesus has been declared unto you, believe and live in peace! You are HIS House, your life are HIS Goods! You are untouchable not even when you fail (sin). – Selah

The Christian life is the life above afflictions!
