'...For we walk by faith, not by sight...' - 2 Corinthians 5 vs 7 {KJV}
- we walk by faith (what the Word says), not by sight (sensory observations)
Dearly beloved, one thing you need to realize about salvation in Christ, is that the Believer has being called out of this world:
'If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.' - John 15 vs 19 {KJV}
- ye are not of the world
- I have chosen you out of the world
We are no longer members or citizens of this world, we are members and citizens of a new kingdom:
'We, however, are citizens of heaven, and we eagerly wait for our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, to come from heaven.' - Philippians 3 vs 20 {GNB}
- We are citizens of Heaven
You see, by reason of salvation in Christ Jesus, we switched kingdoms:
'Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:' - Colossians 1 vs 13 {KJV}
The word 'translated' means 'transferred'. So we have been transferred into the kingdom of Christ. To transfer means to change space, to change location - from a place to another.
'But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light...' - 1 Peter 2 vs 9 {KJV}
- He called us out of darkness into His marvellous light
So we see that at Salvation, the Believer was translated from one kingdom into another, from the kingdom of darkness (which operates in this world) into the Kingdom of Christ.
Good. Now you have an understanding of who you are, you are a man from Heaven, you have a different life, you live differently from the men of this world, and you approach things differently compared to how the men of this world approach things.
WE WALK BY FAITH
'...For we walk by faith, not by sight...' - 2 Corinthians 5 vs 7 {KJV}
What does it mean to walk by faith?
'...For we walk by faith, not by sight...' - 2 Corinthians 5 vs 7 {KJV}
Let me show it to you from the Amplified Bible translation for a clearer understanding of the context:
'For we walk by faith [we regulate our lives and conduct ourselves by our conviction or belief respecting man’s relationship to God and divine things, with trust and holy fervor; thus we walk] not by sight or appearance.'
- We regulate our lives by our conviction
- We conduct ourselves by our belief
- By trust we walk, not by sight or appearance
Waow! I believe that Bible passage is clear to you now. So it's very important that you have this understanding in your foundation, because the realities of the Gospel are only a reality in the realm of faith. Hence, it's only those who walk by faith (considering what the WORD says to be truth above the facts of natural appearances) that can handle/experience the realities of the Gospel as their natural realities. - Selah
Now, having established that, let's look at our opening Bible passage:
'Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.' - 1 Corinthians 12 vs 27 {KJV}
We as the Church in general (the entire gathering of the Believers) are the body of Christ. But as individuals, we are members of Christ body - just as one body part cannot be the entire human body, likewise one Believer cannot be the body of Christ. - Selah. This is why the Apostle Paul went further to explain to us that we are members in particular. Glory to God. Okay let's continue. So we as individuals are members of Christ's body.
Now the big question, Can any part of Christ's body be sick or afflicted? Evidently, the answer is No! If it therefore be true that no part of Christ's body can be sick, infirmed or afflicted, then that means that the Believer in Christ cannot be sick! What do I do with this revelation, I hold on to it! considering it as truth above the present physical condition of my body. I hold on to it till it forms my physical reality; I hold on to this Revelation until it becomes the physical experience of my body. - Think slowly on this
Dearly beloved, this that I have shared with you is true! This is a divine health reality we have in Christ. If it is true that we are members of Christ's body individually, then it therefore means that whatever cannot happen to Christ's body cannot happen to us. And you know what, it is true, we are members of Christ's body as the WORD has said. Hallelujah! Glory to God. Therefore it is your responsibility to hold on to the Truth regardless of your physical circumstances; that's what it means to walk by faith, regulating your life by your convictions and beliefs in the Gospel instead of by the sights and appearances of your physical senses. - Think about it
So dearly beloved, it does not matter what health challenge is trying your body right now, it's simply a lie, don't consider it! rather consider the Word, consider the revelation of Christ, consider the provision of divine health which has been revealed to you by the revelation of the Word even as I have shown you right now; hold on to this reality, keep confessing with your mouth thus:
"I am a member of Christ's body, therefore Christ's bodily experience is my experience, the perfect state of Christ's body is my very experience because I am a member of His body. If Christ cannot be sick, it's an automatic indication that I cannot be sick because I am a part of Christ's body. What cannot happen to Christ's body cannot happen to my body, because Christ's body is the definition of my body since I am a part of His body, joined to Him as one body."
Confess it and hold on to this belief so firmly till it becomes your physical bodily experience. Beloved the word of God works. I see you have a testimony of divine intervention in your body, even by this revelation revealed to you now by the Spirit of God. Amen.
'...For we walk by faith, not by sight...' - 2 Corinthians 5 vs 7 {KJV}
This means that you are not going to consider what you feel, you are going to consider what you believe!
Beloved, stand firmly on this revelation, and ignore whatever the health challenge is, just ignore it! If you could believe the report the doctors gave you that you have stones in your gall bladder, how can you not believe the word of God (that brought about your Salvation) that you are a member of Christ's body, therefore the condition of Christ's body is the condition of your body? - Think on this
The Bible says that the Believers form up Christ's body. That means you and I who believe are Christ's body. Question, can Christ be sick? No! That means, the Believer cannot be sick! You've got to stand on this irrespective of what you feel, and damn the result the doctor gave you, damn how your body feels, and move on in full assurance, knowing that Divine life is at work in you. This is faith! You cannot die of a sickness having this kind of understanding.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
