THIS FAMILY OF LOVE

'We love him, because he first loved us.' - 1 John 4 vs 19

Greetings to you dearly beloved of God in Christ. Grace be to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

I bring to you right now an understanding of the Gospel. Right now, let's take a look at our Salvation through these two scenarios,

"A man who is in love with a woman so much, that he buys her her favourite luxuries without her asking for it, always doing things for her just to please her."

"A guy who was rescued from death by someone, such that if that person hadn't done what he did, this fellow would have been dead. Then this guy feels indebted to him and begins to love him and respect him without measure, always speaking about him, how he rescued him from death, and he is now always there for him (his rescuer), always at his call because of what he has done for him."

Dearly beloved, this is the entire summary of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, a loving God so in love with a dying world, then gives up His Son to be the atoning sacrifice for their sins;

'For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.' - John 3 vs 16 {KJV}

Now His Son comes on board, and just like His Father, loves the dying world and is willing to offer up Himself to die for the world, so that they can pass from death to life, and not see eternal damnation;

'Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.' - John 15 vs 13 {KJV}

Just like His Father, He also loved the world and was willing to die for the world, and He did that.

He died and rose! Hallelujah! Eternal life is given, Salvation has come;

'Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead...' - 1 Peter 1 vs 3 {KJV}

The resurrection of Christ from the dead brought us into Salvation (a lively hope). Now we are saved! because of a loving God! Now we are saved! because a loving Saviour cooperated with God the Father. Now we are the offsprings of their Love. Question? Ought not you and I in return love this loving God and loving Saviour? whose love and compassion has delivered us from eternal damnation? - Think about it

'If ye love me, keep my commandments.' - John 14 vs 15 {KJV}

'He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.' - John 14 vs 21 {KJV}

  • The man that lives by the words of Christ is the man that loves Him

'Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.' - John 14 vs 23 {KJV}

  • A man who truly loves the Lord is known when he lives in accordance to the words and instructions of Christ

'He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.' - John 14 vs 24 {KJV}

  • A man who lives contrary to the words and instructions of Christ does not love Him no matter how many times he says "I love you Jesus"

You see, the Lord gives us the standard/basis at which he considers men's love for Him. So it doesn't how emotional you are singing "Jesus I love you" "God I love you", if you are not intentionally walking in the Light, you don't love Him. It's that simple. - Think about it

So dearly beloved, we are in a family of love, a loving Father saved us through His loving Son, and upon His resurrection, loving children were born, which is you and I. Now, we love God (we walk in the Light, doing the things that please Him, doing the things that are His delight), because He first loved us (by giving up His only begotten Son for us, to experience death because of our sins);

'We love him, because he first loved us.' - 1 John 4 vs 19 {KJV}

Dearly beloved, know this day that you are in a family of love. God's family is a family of love, no one is left out. This is the circle,

A loving Father - A loving Christ - loving sons (which is you and I).

Walk in the light of who you are in Christ, you are an obedient child, not a disobedient child, you are a lover of the Truth, you are a lover of God, you walk in the Light;

'As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance...' - 1 Peter 1 vs 14 {KJV}

'Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.' - 1 John 2 vs 15 {KJV}

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
