CHOICE POWERED BY LOVE

'We love him, because he first loved us.' - 1 John 4 vs 19

Firstly, we understand that we were Saved by Grace, and not by the works of righteousness which we have done;

'For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.' - Ephesians 2 vs 8 - 9 {KING JAMES VERSION}

We understand that we received the gift of righteousness when we placed our faith/trust in Jesus to save us;

'For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.' - Romans 5 vs 17 {KJV}

We understand that on the Cross of Christ, there was an exchange: Jesus took our place on that cross, He became sin, and we became righteous [in the Father's sight]. - Think about it

'For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.' - 2 Corinthians 5 vs 21 {KJV}

Having believed these Truths, if you ever sense any gratitude in your heart to the Lord, if you ever feel in love with Jesus for His great works and love for you, you will naturally express love for Him in return to Him; and that your expression of love to Him will be seen in how you do the things He says (the things that please Him). So we can safely say that, A Christian who practices evil has not understood the love of God towards him. - Selah

This is the entire message of our opening Bible verse, if you love God your choices will show it; because a choice or decision towards a person powered by love for that person is ever pure and without weaknesses.

If your choice is powered by love, that choice will be perfect.

A man who is truly in love with Jesus is not held bound by weakness or weaknesses, he is able to walk in the goodness and righteousness of God, bringing God glory, because his decision to please God is not coming from a wanting to be righteous (which is self righteousness), but it's coming from a heart powered by love for Jesus. Hallelujah!

May God grant you the understanding of these words that I have spoken unto you. Amen.
