THE RIGHTEOUS JUNKIE

'But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.' - Romans 2 vs 29

Hello dearly beloved in the Lord Jesus. I bring you greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus. This is a very interesting and exciting topic we are looking at right now. I want you to observe every line carefully, you will learn much. God is with you.

Now, I will try to be as brief as possible, but Precise.

Now consider these two categories of persons from the parable which the Lord put forth. Let's read;

'And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.
And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
And likewise a levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.
But a certain Samaritan, as she journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,
And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.
Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?
And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.' - Luke 10 vs 30 - 37 {KING JAMES VERSION}

Waow! What a story. Now if you carefully observed what you've read, you will notice two categories of persons, the first is the one who is religious, or rather known to be religious, while the second; is the one who is considered an outcast and nonreligious according to outward credentials. But you see, the Lord commended the second over the first because you see, true righteousness is a heart condition and not a mere outward show of it. There's a guy who's always in Church, always in prayer meetings, always in Bible study meetings, speaks in Tongues (and he does it loud), always decked on suit, you know... But this brother/sister has 5 pairs of shoes, and cannot give a pair of those shoes to another fellow who doesn't have one; he cannot share his food with another fellow who doesn't have sufficient; he/she cannot give a trouser to another fellow who lacks clothing; he so cherishes these things he has that he cannot afford to extend his hands to another who is needy. But there's another fellow out there who smokes, he doesn't come to Church much, he doesn't deck on suit, he is pierced with ear rings and marked with tattoos all over, yet this fellow shares his little with the needy, he visits the afflicted and imprisoned, he opens up his house to strangers and houses them for as long as they can stay, he doesn't segregate, he doesn't take any possession of his as anything when another fellow lacks them; as outwardly unqualified as this fellow looks, yet he loves the Lord Jesus and believes in Him, he believes in the Word of God, he believes in God and prays to Him in the name of Jesus. Uhmmm. Hear what the Lord says about this matter;

'Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.' - Matthew 25 vs 41 - 46 {KING JAMES VERSION}

Waow! You see, your outward walk of love is the proof of your followership of Christ in this world;

'By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.' - John 13 vs 35 {KJV}

You see, don't Judge a Believer because of his outward looks. That someone puts on ear rings or has tattoos doesn't mean a thing. Yea. That one puts on Jean or trousers or big shoes or dark shades doesn't mean anything, all those are nothing. Love is the weighty matter. So you see, our opening Bible verse informs us that a true Jew (people of God/follower of God - as used in the context) is seen on the inside of man, it's about his inward and not his outward. Because his inward is beautiful, his outward will definitely be beautiful. It takes time. But you see, religious folks always look for the wrong outward things, they look at how you're dressed, what you drink, the places you go to, they don't realize that A man's walk of love is the outward characteristics they should look out for. Because these other outward things they look out for in a Believer are simply things that are subject to a man's choice. - Selah. Hey, I can decide to put on a skirt as a man, and it's nobodies business! I can afford to put on ear rings, and it's nobodies business! I can afford to have long hair and even weave them, and it's nobodies business! These are simply my business and how I want to look, just that the customs of men and our communities constrains many of us from certain things, not because they mean anything to God, but because we don't want to offend people, because we don't want that to be a stumbling block to them from receiving the Gospel for their Salvation. So you see, that's a sacrifice many of us have decided to make for their benefit, and not because it matters anything to God. - Selah

'Therefore, if [my eating a] food is a cause of my brother's falling or of hindering [his spiritual advancement], I will not eat [such] flesh forever, lest I cause my brother to be tripped up and fall and to be offended.' - 1 Corinthians 8 vs 13 {AMP}

You see that? This is the reason why a Believer restrains himself from living in certain ways and styles, and not because they are sins in themselves. You get the idea? Yea.

So therefore dearly beloved, look out for the right stuffs (Love) and not religious jamborees.

Don't judge a man by his lifestyle, he may just be the one pleasing God instead of you. Even if he is in an obvious weakness, don't judge him; because, that guy who you call a junkie might have received the Gospel, hence he has Eternal Life, and is doing his very best to please God (expressing Love to men) in the ways he can, and God prices that a Treasure. While you are there busy condemning and pointing fingers, he is simply on his way to Heaven. - Selah

Learn from Jesus;

'So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.' - John 8 vs 7 {KJV}

Jesus never condemned anybody: when the guilty came to Him, they returned lifted and healed! Sweet precious Jesus.

Don't forget, the Samaritan was commended! not the Priest nor the Levite.

God has blessed you.
