ON CURSES PT.2

‘And he brought him into the field of Zophim, to the top of Pisgah, and built seven altars, and offered a bullock and a ram on every altar.’ – Numbers 23 vs 14

Hello Beloved, this is a continuation of what I began to talk about on curses, it wraps up totally our eternal security in Christ Jesus from curses and bondage. Be Blessed in Jesus Name.

From our previous teachings, I was able to successfully explain to you how that nothing which God has Blessed can be cursed. We saw how that God could not curse Adam because of  HIS Blessing was already on him, how that the Prophet Balaam could not curse the people of Israel because God had Blessed them, and how that Noah could not curse Ham his second son because God had Blessed him already. Waow! Now there arise a question, what if someone goes ahead to place a yoke or curse on somebody by sacrificing sacrifices on an evil altar, would it still prevail over me that has been blessed by the LORD? The simple answer is No, Never, Can Never!!!

While I was still at a certain level in the knowledge of the God’s Word, I always believed in  a certain false teaching which went as such; ALTAR VS ALTAR. That teaching made us believe that as a Child of God, when someone offers an evil sacrifice against you to put a spell on you, you have to offer a sacrifice to God also which is higher than what was used against you so as to make ineffective what was done against you and reverse it. Waow, as good as that looks, that is not the perfect truth, it can be accepted in the sense that it is a principle in warfare, but if you want to allow GRACE do a clean job on your behalf, then you must Rest and stop working! – Selah

In our opening scripture, we see something interesting, in that point of that history, the Prophet Balaam who the king employed to curse the people of God saw that it was not working in that the Prophet uttered Blessings on the people instead of Curses {Numbers 23 vs 11 – 12}. So the king decided to act on the principle of sacrifice, he built seven altars and offered a Bullock and a Ram each on every of the seven altars. Waow, what an expensive sacrifice. If it were to be in our day, or in the country where I Jenning am, I believe the preacher will advice the folk to go build 14 altars and offer two (2) Bullocks and two (2) Rams on each of them. And you know what, if the folk do that, it will work, the curse will not hurt him and will be reversed to he that sent the spell, but that is not the perfect approach in such battles. That can be seen as victory by works, efforts and not victory by Grace, Rest! – Selah

Now, when after such sacrifice which the king made, could the curse prosper against Israel (who had been Blessed by God)? Let’s see what the Prophet has to say;

‘Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it.’ – Numbers 23 vs 20 {KJV}

You see that? The Prophet could still not place a curse on the people of Israel. Why? ‘He hath Blessed’. O Glory to God! I want us to see that passage in the BBE (Bible in Basic English) Version of the Bible;

‘See, I have had orders to give blessing: and he has given a blessing which I have no power to take away.’

You see that? He has given a blessing which I have no power to take away. Waow! Ephesians 1 vs 3 informs us that we have been Blessed with all Spiritual Blessings in Christ Jesus. All Spiritual Blessings. Meaning, everything that has to do with Jenning has been Blessed? Who then can curse my health when my health has been Blessed? – Selah. Who then can curse my Job when my job has been Blessed? – Selah. Who then can curse my family when my family has been Blessed? – Selah. Who then can curse my academics when my academics has been Blessed? – Selah. Who then can curse my life when my life has been Blessed? – Selah. Just name it, who can take it away from you when God has Blessed it? – Selah

He then went further to say;

‘Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!’ – Numbers 23 vs 23 {KJV}

There is no enchantment against you child of God, neither is there any divination against you. Look at how the BBE Translation puts it;

‘No evil power has effect against Jacob, no secret arts against Israel…’

Waow! Did you see that? Nothing evil has any effect against you. Therefore Child of God, cheer-up, He has overcome the world for us. When you are cursed, or when sacrifices are offered against you or against your life, don’t fret, don’t look out for what to do to counter it, that would be the operation of works! Instead, relax, rest on His infallible Word, even this Word which I have brought to your understanding, and you’d be cool, your eyes will see their destruction.

Count all curses and all evil arts against you empty!
