PRAY FOR YOUR FLOCKS - [Pastoral Guide]

'Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you...' - 1 Samuel 12 vs 23

We see from our opening scripture that the Prophet Samuel who was the Prophet over God's people at that time understood that it was a sin (passivity in service) not to pray for God's people whom he had the prophetic oversight.

Brothers and Sisters, are you a Pastor, or a church leader, or a cell leader of a cell group in your local assembly? Pray for your flocks! You have to understand that as leaders, we have the responsibility of praying for those whom God has put under us.

'And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat...' - Luke 22 vs 31 {KJV}

From this scripture we can see that Satan desired to pluck away Simon Peter from the fold, but Jesus been Simon's leader knew of that plan and prayed for him;

'But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.' - Luke 22 vs 32 {KJV}

You see that? So the prayer of Jesus for Simon was what strengthened him, and caused his faith not to fail.

Dear Leader in the vineyard of God, take this responsibility of prayer and intercession for your followers very seriously. God expects you to do that. Wake up to your responsibility and pray for them. Deny Satan the power to touch any of them by your prayers of covering, just like Jesus did for Simon Peter and the rest of His disciples.

'While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.' - John 17 vs 12 {KJV}

Can you talk like this before God, that you kept all the flocks He gave you without loosing any of them to the world?

Wake Up!

God Bless You.
