THE WORD: THE BELIEVERS' COMPASS

'Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.' - Psalm 119 vs 11

Looking at our opening scripture, David showed us a picture, that with the WORD in a man's heart, He can be directed out of the path of sin and error. He said Thy Word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

Once the WORD is in your heart, once you have read a particular Word of God in the Bible much, any time you are about to do something contrary to that Word, automatically, that Word comes up in your heart as a reminder to you of God's way of doing things - you will just remember that Word in your heart, like someone is reading it to you. Now imagine that you have read much Bible instructions over and over again, just imagine how guided you will be in your doings. - Selah

Once you want to do something contrary to the will of the Father, your heart will remind you of the Word of God. So we can safely say that the Believer who has loaded up himself with the words of the Bible is a Believer who is led by God to walk in the ways of God. Truly, just as David said, a man can walk pleasing before God if he hides the Word of God in his heart. - Think about it

God leads us by His Word. The Holy Spirit carries out His ministry in us by the Word of God in our hearts. You see, a man void of the knowledge of the WORD cannot experience the ministry of the Holy Spirit; because from the words of Jesus, we see how the Holy Spirit carries out His ministry in God's children, by giving them remembrance!

'But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.' - John 14 vs 26 {KJV}

The Holy Spirit didn't come to tell us new things. No! He is in us to help us remember what has been said by God already, He brings to our remembrance the words of the Lord. - Selah. So what happens to a Christian whose heart is empty of the WORD? Such Christian will stumble and fall in his walk and work in the earth, he will make many mistakes, yet he has the Holy Spirit resident in him. - Selah

Dearly beloved, go for the WORD! The WORD in your heart will save you from a life of error and mistakes.

God is with you.
