CORRECTING THE WRONG INTERPRETATION OF 2 CHRONICLES 20 VS 20

'And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.' - 2 Chronicles 20 vs 20

Our above Bible passage states a profound line, it says 'Believe HIS Prophets that ye may prosper.' Do you know that many have taken that to mean that their prosperity is tied to their Pastor or Spiritual head? Many Preachers have even taught their flocks likewise, making them understand that what they need to prosper is connected to them. It's really sick to hear that. Who were these Prophets? Who were the old testament Prophets, and to what purpose did GOD allow a despensation of Prophets? Why was there first an era of the Prophetic before the coming of the Messiah? This question will help in understanding the actual meaning of the above Bible passage.
In the Book of Deuteronomy from the 13th Chapter, reading from the 5th verse, GOD warned the people from false prophets, and the reason was because they would turn their hearts from HIM. That was why Prophets were introduced into the world, to turn the hearts of Israel back to the Law, hence back to GOD. For many years, Israel strayed away from GOD'S Law, you can see that through out the Book of Lamentations of the Prophet Jeremiah. Now, Prophets were sent to address the people of Israel, by Judgement and Justice so as to turn their hearts back to GOD by returning to HIS Laws which they forsook. So this Prophet announced to the people to adhere to the words of GOD'S Prophets, why? Because they reveal the mind of GOD, and in adhering to their words, you adhere to GOD, hence you have a prosperous tread. Now remember, Moses informed the people that GOD was to raise among them another Prophet like unto Him, and that was the Person of JESUS He was talking about. {Deuteronomy 18 vs 15}. That was the dispensation of the Prophets, hence the people ought to Believe in their words, of which JESUS was the Last Prophet of that dispensation who compulsorily should be Believed as well. We are no longer in the dispensation of the Prophets, this is the dispensation of the reign of the Church of Christ. Follow me.
There's a problem with this knowledge that has swept through our Churches, where the flocks are taught that their prosperity is tied to their man of GOD. It has a way of taking the focus from JESUS and placing it on the man of GOD. Whosoever we are in the Body of Christ, or into whatsoever office we have been called into, whether Apostle or Prophet, or whatsoever, our sole responsibility is to reveal that one Prophet, Messiah, Savior, Son of GOD, JESUS! HE is the Prophet that the Believers should Believe and be prosperous, not us! But you will say, Pastor Jenning, then why am I a Prophet? Hey! You are not the Prophet to be Believed upon, you have been privileged by GOD into that office, to reveal that one Prophet by reason of Signs and Words, that they may behold HIM, know HIM, Believe HIM and Believe in HIM, hence they Prosper! In their Soul, they Prosper! In their Mind they Prosper! In their lives they Prosper! Why? Because you as a Prophet or man of GOD have brought HIS words to the People, and have Revealed HIM and HIS Grace to them, hence thy now know HIM and Believe HIM. Even Moses said to the People, HIM ye shall Hearken. Pastor reading this or minister sir/ma, we are not the picture! We are only privileged by GOD into our various respective Offices to show the TRUE Picture to the People; and that is JESUS. - Selah. Remember, we are not GOD'S Prophet over the people, JESUS is; in the same measure at which we are not their Savior. So what are we, we are they that point the people to the actual Prophet over them; we are not their Shepherds, yes we are called Pastors, but the Bible called HIM the chief Shepherd {1 Peter 5 vs 4}. That shows HE is the actual shepherd. That means, we are disloyal to the LORD if we fail to point the People to HIM. We must take ourselves (ministers) off the Picture. This whole thing is about JESUS and HIM alone. Let's become like that Loyal Assistant who always projects His Superior and allure all the credit to HIM. - Selah
Therefore I would like to say this to the Pastors and Ministers reading this right now, it is humility before GOD to reveal JESUS and hide ourselves. Just like John, HE must Increase and we must ensure that. We are never the Picture. Pastor, it's a sin to say to the people that their Prosperity is tied to you. You are taking JESUS Place in their lives. If their Prosperity is actually tied to you, then whatsup with JESUS Blood? Whatsup with 2 Corinthians 8 vs 9? How that HE talked about HIS Grace and said that HE was Rich but for our sake became poor, that we through HIS poverty might become Rich! Whatsup with that? Doesn't that imply that the people's prosperity isn't tied to anyone but JESUS who is the Prophet and Apostle of the Church? - Selah. Deuteronomy 18 vs 15 reveals HIM as the Prophet, Hebrews 3 vs 1 reveals HIM as the Apostle, hence, seeing HE is the Prophet over us, HE is the one Legally set to be Believed upon which in Return causes us to Prosper. Much Loves.
GOD Bless You.
