REST IN HIS REST PT.2
‘For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that
are sanctified.’ – Hebrews 10 vs 14
‘Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of
grace, but of debt.
5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.’ – Romans 4 vs 4 – 5 {KING JAMES VERSION}
Hello Dearly Beloved in the Lord Jesus, we have seen the
awesomeness of the Grace of god in the teaching of this topic in the part 1,
behold the part 2 is here again for you. Obviously, God is not through in
mending your broken hearts, He is obviously not through with healing the wounds
of condemnation and guilt you have long suffered. So Beloved, give yourself to
this word, and receive every of it in Faith unwavering. Just believe. God Bless
You.
From our opening scripture, we are informed that Jesus
through His sacrifice of Himself on the Cross, He perfected, made atonement for
our sins forever. Just wait for a minute, let me expand that for you. In the Old
Testament era, the priest made a yearly atonement for the sins of the whole
Israel, while the people individually made atonement for themselves when they
committed sins, by the performance of the required ritual sacrifice. But here,
we see that Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross did not only save us from our past
sins, but it was also atonement for all sins that we will ever commit. Wait
wait wait a minute, before you say ‘Could this be true’; only believe the
scriptures not me. This is truth; this is the word of God. The scripture says
we have been perfected, atoned for not once, no, but forever. Waow, Glory to
God.
‘For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin;
that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.’ – 2 Corinthians
5 vs 20 {KJV}
Now, with what we saw in Hebrews 10 vs 14, let’s re-arrange
this scripture;
‘For he hath made him to be sin for us (forever), who knew
no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.’ – 2 Corinthians
5 vs 20 {KJV}
Did you see that? Jesus was made a sin for
us for all time, that means we were made Righteous when we came to Christ, that
speaks of ‘yesterday’, we are still
Righteous today (Irrespective of our sins), and we are still Righteous tomorrow
(Irrespective of the sins and offences we will make). – Selah. This was the
same Gospel Paul preached, so much that the question was raised, ‘Shall we
continue in sin that Grace shall abound?’ {Romans
6 vs 1} You Remember that? Yea. Don’t worry, I will come to that.
Now, do you know what this means? It means
when you made that wrong, in the sight of God, you are Righteous. What? Why?
Simply because the Righteousness is not something we work (by our deeds of
Righteousness) to get, but it’s something He gave out of His Great Love for us
and the whole world {John 3 vs 16}.
So Pastor Jenning, I have just done this shit and I am still Righteous in His
sight? Yea you are.
5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.’ – Romans 4 vs 4 – 5 {KING JAMES VERSION}
You see that? So it is a gift God gave as an expression of
His eternal love for us all. Waow. The understanding of this puts so much peace
in your heart, and puts you at Rest, and no more will you be condemned or
accused by the devil because of sin. AMEN.
When you come to understand this Grace that has set you free
from bondage, even this message I have shared with you, your heart is filled
with Love for God because of the Love He has shown towards you by not
considering your weaknesses and faults, but went ahead and paid for all your
sins once and forever {Hebrews 10 vs 10},
indicating that none of your sins can ever bring separation between you and Him
anymore because when He looks at you, He sees the Righteousness He gave you on
you, hence your PEACE with Him {Romans 5
vs 1} has been eternally settled.
O Hallelujah! I’m so excited about this. Praise God Forever. No man having
understood this can go ahead and use this liberty to commit sin willfully.
Never! Instead, He is filled with love and gratitude to God, which compels him
to do only those things that please God, and when he sins (as a result of the
sinful nature of the flesh) instead of feeling guilty before God, because he
understands that his Righteousness before God is the one God gave to him and
not the one he works, he is confident and bold before God to say ‘Papa I’m
sorry’. And you know what? Someone who Rests on His Righteousness, when he
sins, he doesn’t say I’m sorry to God with a sorrowful heart, no, but with a
thankful heart. Every of is words are words of ‘Thank you Father for your Grace’.
But the one who pleases God with efforts instead of from the point of Rest, he
hardly talks like the other guy who Rests on Grace, he is hardly thankful for
Grace, he is hardly thankful for the gift of Righteousness because all his
attention are on his works and not HIS finished work! – Selah
I told you in the Part 1 of this teaching, that Right Living
for a child of God shouldn’t be something we do with efforts, but it should be
something that LOVE for God motivates out of us. – Selah;
‘We love him, because he first loved us.’
– 1 John 4 vs 19 {KJV}
He didn’t say we will love Him because He first loved us,
no. Instead he says, we love him because
He first loved us. That tells us that when the love He has lavishly lavished
upon us is fully understood by us, it divinely sets us loving Him back, and
that love will synonymously show in our lives, in our conducts, in our
dealings with men and our relationship with them. You see? So pleasing God is
best achieved from the place of Rest and not from the place of Works. – Selah
Many who don’t understand the Gospel of Grace thinks it gives
men a license to keep on sinning, but that’s a NO! Instead, the Gospel of Grace
makes men more Righteous (In their ways of life and conducts). – Think about it
